High maintenance things I do to stay low maintenance ✨👏🏼

The secret isn’t finding one treatment that does it all, it’s consistency.

The treatments I invest in throughout the year help me spend less time getting ready, wear less makeup, stay on top of pigmentation and feel confident in my skin.

Not all 4D healing journeys look the same, and that’s exactly how it should be. 👏🏼✨

A few days ago, we shared another client’s healing journey following her 4D treatment. Although both clients had a 4D, you’ll notice their healing responses look quite different.

That’s because no two skins are the same.

At Skinsense, we don’t believe in using the same settings and protocol for every client. Instead, we tailor each treatment based on your skin concerns, skin condition, goals and desired outcome.

For this particular client, pigment was one of our primary concerns. Because of this, we treated her differently to encourage a stronger response in those pigmented areas. This is why we’re seeing more visible bronzing and shedding during the healing process.

While both clients received a 4D treatment, the treatment approach and skin response were completely individualised.

This is also why comparing your downtime or healing journey to someone else’s can be misleading. The same treatment can produce very different healing responses depending on what we’re targeting and how your skin responds.

These photos show before treatment as well as days 1–5 post treatment, with the pigment beginning to darken and shed as the skin moves through the healing process.

Can we talk about Cosmelan for a sec? 👇🏼👇🏼

It’s one of the best treatments we have available for pigmentation and Melasma, but it’s not for everyone and it’s definitely not a quick fix.

If your skin is congested, oily, or just looking a little dull and uneven then this ingredient is for you. 🙌🏼✨✨

The Medik8 Niacinamide Peptides serum is one of those products that quietly does a lot. It’s built around 10% niacinamide (vitamin B3) which works to calm redness, balance oil, and support your skin barrier — so it’s brilliant for anyone who deals with congestion, enlarged pores, or that annoying combo of oily but somehow still sensitive skin.

What makes this one a step above is the peptide complex. Peptides are the building blocks that help stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving overall skin quality, while the niacinamide works away in the background on tone and texture.  The two together are genuinely a great team.
