A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating Aged Care Employee Day and to each and every member of our GLAICA family for the dedication, compassion and professionalism you bring to your work every day.

As we celebrate Aged Care Employee Day today, I would like to take a moment to sincerely recognise, acknowledge, and thank each and every one of you for the compassion, professionalism, dedication, and care you bring to GLAICA each day.

This special day provides an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary people who dedicate themselves to supporting and caring for older Australians. It is also a reminder of the incredible heart, skill, patience, and humanity that you bring to your work. Every day, you make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, their families, and each other, and for that, we are truly grateful.

Aged Care Employee Day is more than just a date on the calendar—it is a celebration of you and the important work you do. It is a time to pause and recognise the countless acts of kindness, the moments of patience, the resilience you demonstrate, and your unwavering commitment to providing care with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Our residents and their families place an enormous amount of trust in us. You honour that trust every day through the way you care, the way you listen, the way you support, and the professionalism you bring to every interaction. 💙❄️ Thank You for Making Our Winter Wonderland Fete So Special! ❄️💙

As we celebrated 50 wonderful years of GLAICA Ltd, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make our Winter Wonderland Fetes and both of our facilities such memorable and successful days.

The events were a wonderful celebration filled with laughter, friendship, delicious food, entertainment and community spirit. It was fantastic to see so many of our residents, families, staff and members of the community come together to celebrate this important milestone. Seeing so many smiling faces throughout the day reminded us just how special the GLAICA family truly is.

Message from GLAICA Ltd CEO - Darran Paul.

It’s been a busy six months at GLAICA Ltd, with our team completing a soft rebrand to honour who we are today — and who we’ve been for 50 years serving the Great Lakes community.

When refreshing our logo, we asked ourselves an important question: what should a symbol represent for an organisation that has supported older Australians for half a century?

We needed a logo that reflects the breadth of what we do:

• Residential aged care
• Retirement living
• Affordable housing

Every day, our teams care for over 329 seniors locally, and it was important that our identity captured that responsibility with warmth, optimism and trust.

Yellow represents optimism, energy and warmth — the feeling we want every resident and family to experience.

Navy brings tradition, trust and calm — a nod to our long history and the stability we provide.

In our pictorial logo, we wanted to visually express the support we offer across our three housing streams. The design brings these elements together to symbolise connection, care and community.

Meet a New Member of our amazing Glaica Ltd Team!!!

Hi everyone, I’m Kyia, and I’m excited to introduce myself and be joining the team at Glaica Ltd!

I’ve been working in customer service for 4 years now, and throughout my experience I’ve loved connecting with people, helping others, and creating positive experiences. I’m excited to bring my friendly, caring, and organised approach to my role within the Reception/Admin team.

In my role, I’ll be helping support the team, welcoming visitors, assisting with administration tasks, and being a friendly first point of contact. I enjoy being organised, working with others, and making sure everyone feels welcomed and supported.

Outside of work, I love travelling, exploring new places, spending time at the beach, and making memories with the people I care about. I’m also a huge animal lover.

I’m looking forward to this new chapter, getting to know everyone, and being part of such a wonderful team 😊
