Another shameless shout-out to an absolute legend.

A big thank you to Damon "Ferg" Ferguson, one of those rare people who always seems willing to go out of his way to help those around him.

This morning was no different. We arrived at Optimum to find half the clinic had power and half didn't. After a quick phone call, Ferg jumped on FaceTime, talked us through exactly what we needed to do at the switchboard, and had us back up and running within 10 minutes.

Damon, we can't thank you enough for your help this morning and for everything you do for us, not just as our sparky, but for the wider Albury-Wodonga community as well.

If you're looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, we couldn't recommend him and his team at enough.

Monday morning team meeting done and dusted! ☕️

With winter well and truly here, a few of our team are feeling a little under the weather, and we're also welcome Warren for his work experience over the next 2 days.

For the first time in a while, we've had to hold our meeting in the Pilates area simply because there are so many of us now – a lovely problem to have! 😊

Despite the winter blues, we did our best to keep the energy up with plenty of laughs, banter and the occasional giggle. We're hoping you're all feeling bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as you head into the week ahead.

Meet Michael and Bev 👋

Some clients become so much more than clients, and Michael and Bev Leonhard are certainly two of those people.

Over the years, they have been incredibly loyal members of the Optimum Physiotherapy family, working through a variety of different injuries and complaints with their usual positive attitude, kindness, and willingness to put in the work. They have always been proactive, committed to their rehabilitation, and an absolute pleasure to help.

While we’re sad to see them leave our local area, we’re also excited for their next chapter as they relocate to a beautiful property in Rushworth.

Many of you may remember Bev from her 30 years owning and operating the much-loved Jardine Cottage in Corryong. Michael has also been heavily involved in the Upper Murray community through his work with the Upper Murray Community Bakery and the Neighbourhood House, contributing enormously to the region over many years.

They have both been valued members of our border community, and we know they will be greatly missed by many.

Thank you, Michael and Bev, for your support, friendship, and trust over the years. We wish you every happiness and success in this exciting new adventure and look forward to seeing you again somewhere down the track.

Welcome Aboard, Nicole!

We are thrilled to officially welcome Nicole to the Optimum Physiotherapy team.

Nicole joins us in an administration role and will be working closely with Jess, Trish and Chiara over the coming weeks to learn the systems, processes and day-to-day operations that keep the clinic running smoothly. She has already hit the ground running and brings a wonderful combination of enthusiasm, intelligence and genuine warmth to the team.

Outside of work, Nicole is nothing short of a supermum, raising eight children while somehow still finding time for her interests in photography, history and supporting her family through many years of involvement in the local dance community. Her ability to juggle competing priorities, stay organised and keep a smile on her face is something many of us can only aspire to!

From the moment she started, Nicole has brought a beautiful personality, a willingness to learn, and a positive energy that has made her a fantastic fit for the Optimum family. She is incredibly capable, thoughtful, quick to learn, and genuinely excited about contributing to the clinic and helping us continue to provide the best possible experience for our patients.

Nicole has also been fortunate to have Chiara helping show her the ropes and introducing her to the many systems and processes that keep Optimum running behind the scenes. Together with Jess they will ensure she is well supported as she settles into her new role.

We're delighted to have you on board, Nicole, and we're looking forward to seeing all the great things you'll achieve with us.

After almost five years with Optimum Physiotherapy, it’s time to say farewell to Trish as she moves on to an exciting new opportunity.

Throughout her time with us, Trish has been a steady and dependable presence, helping guide the clinic through the highs, lows, challenges and celebrations that come with running a busy practice. From her role in administration to stepping up as Office Manager, she has been an integral part of our team and a strong anchor at the helm of Optimum.

Beyond her professionalism and dedication, Trish has been a wonderful colleague and friend. We’ve shared plenty of laughs, team outings, and memorable moments along the way, and she has played a significant role in shaping the culture and success of our clinic.

Trish is now moving on to a new position with a podiatry practice in Albury, where she will take on a lead administrative role. While we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited for her as she embarks on this next chapter. After achieving so much at Optimum, this new challenge is a well-deserved opportunity for growth and fresh experiences.

On behalf of the entire Optimum team, our patients, and everyone whose lives you’ve touched over the years, thank you, Trish, for your hard work, loyalty, friendship, and commitment.

BIG NEWS!! We’re incredibly excited to welcome Shiny to the Optimum Physiotherapy team!

It's been a long journey navigating immigration, relocation and registration in Australia, but we're delighted to finally have her here in Wodonga. Shiny brings a wealth of experience, exceptional qualifications and, most importantly, a genuinely caring nature that patients are going to love.

Having worked in senior physiotherapy roles overseas, she brings a huge amount of knowledge, clinical expertise and fresh ideas to our team. We know she's going to make a wonderful contribution to both our clinic and the wider community.

Shiny is now our eighth sponsored team member, something we're incredibly proud of. Over the years we've seen how much overseas professionals enrich our workplace with their diverse experiences, perspectives and warmth. They add so much colour to our Optimum family and help us provide even better care for our patients.

A big shout out to Eva, who has just completed two days of work experience with us from Tallangatta Secondary College.

It has been an absolute delight having Eva in the clinic. She has been engaged, curious, helpful, friendly and pleasant from the moment she walked through the door. She asked thoughtful questions, showed genuine interest in learning, and was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

Outside of school, Eva has a wide range of interests. She loves dancing, enjoys helping out on the family farm, and already has experience in the workforce through her job at the rural farm supplies store in Baranduda. It's clear that she brings a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved in whatever she does.

Eva is also the daughter of our wonderful Pilates instructor, Sarah, so we've enjoyed getting to know her a little better over the past couple of days.

To top it all off, Eva arrived on her final day with gifts for the team to say thank you. She thoughtfully brought in dehydrated bananas, including a sugar-free option specially for Joe and a full-sugar version for the rest of the staff! It was such a kind and considerate gesture and speaks volumes about the sort of person she is.

Whether her future lies in physiotherapy, healthcare, agriculture, business or something completely different, we're confident she's going to make an outstanding employee and colleague one day.

Thank you for spending time with us, Eva. We wish you all the very best for the future and look forward to seeing where your journey takes you.
