💚 This year the AGH Golf Classic presented by Your Independent Grocer (Almonte) is raising funds for a new bladder scanner. Bladder scanners are a non-invasive ultrasound device that helps detect urinary retention and assess bladder function, which helps medical staff make the best decisions for your health with you, and for you.

🏆Recent recipient of the 2026 Community Award, Exceptional Volunteer

Bonnie McBain has been an amazing volunteer and supporter of the AGH‑FVM Foundation. For the past three years, she has served on the AGH Run for Women’s & Newborn Health Committee and has been instrumental in the growing success of this fundraiser- most notably by expanding participation to include local schools, inspiring students to fundraise in support of their hospital.

When Bonnie isn’t in a boardroom helping to plan and grow this major event, she’s out on Run Day in a fluorescent vest, lending a hand from start to finish. Her commitment is unwavering, and her care and compassion inspires everyone around her.

Bonnie’s care and dedication are truly admirable. Even when her health began to weaken, she remained determined to continue volunteering and supporting this community and hospital. She always answers the call when help is needed and never fails to ask, “What else can I do?”, always offering her hand to be of service to others.

We are incredibly grateful to have Bonnie on our team and deeply proud to call her not only a dedicated volunteer, but a true friend.

Fundraising made FUN!

The 2027 Firefighters Calendar, Almonte Hats and foundation Socks are now available in the Almonte General Hospital Volunteer Services Gift Shop.

100% of the proceeds of the calendars will support the Obstetrics Unit at the Almonte General Hospital!

Proceeds of the socks will be shared with the Mississippi Mills Youth Centre.

This is a great opportunity to support our Hospital and our community!

✨ WE DID IT! ✨

Because of your dedication, enthusiasm and fundraising efforts, this year’s AGH Run/Walk for Women’s & Newborn Health was an incredible success. Together, more than 400 participants, volunteers, partners and supporters came together in extraordinary unity to raise over $106,000 in support of the Obstetrics Unit at the Almonte General Hospital!
