This Paramedic Services Week, we’re celebrating the paramedics and EMS professionals who show up for our communities in moments of crisis, uncertainty and need.

Your work takes skill, compassion, strength and care — often while carrying experiences that others may never see.

At CW Therapy, we understand that first responders face unique stressors, including long shifts, high-pressure calls, repeated exposure to trauma, and the emotional weight of supporting others through difficult moments.

Our specially trained First Responder therapists offer a safe, confidential space to process difficult experiences, build coping strategies, and feel supported on and off the job.

To all paramedics and EMS professionals — thank you for the care, compassion and dedication you bring to our communities.

If you’re a first responder looking for support, we’re here to help.

Today is Mental Health Provider Appreciation Day!

We’re taking a moment to recognize and thank our incredible therapists for the compassion, care, and expertise they bring to this work every day.

Our therapists support clients through some of life’s most difficult moments — helping them process trauma, navigate change, strengthen relationships, and feel more like themselves again.

We see the heart, skill, and dedication behind this work, and we are so grateful for the difference our therapists make in the lives of the people they support.

Seeking support takes courage, and having the right therapist beside you can make all the difference.

Today, on First Responder Day, we recognize the people who show up when others are facing their hardest moments.

First responders carry experiences most people never see — and those experiences can stay with the brain and body long after a shift ends.

At CW Therapy, supporting first responders is a core part of what we do. Our therapists provide specialized, evidence-based trauma treatment designed for the realities of this work.

If you’ve ever wondered why certain calls stay with you, why stress reactions build over time, or how trauma actually affects the brain, our latest blog explains what’s happening — and how support can help.

Support can be helpful whether you’re early in your career, recently affected by a call, or noticing stress building over years of service.

You don’t have to manage it alone.

Book a free 15-minute consultation with one of our therapists to get started with care designed specifically for first responders.

April is Earth Month 🌎

Did you know that spending time outdoors can support your mental health in simple but meaningful ways?

Even short moments outside can lower stress levels, improve mood, increase focus and clarity, support nervous system regulation, and create space to reset and recharge.

This Earth Month, consider taking a few extra minutes to step outside — whether it’s a short walk, fresh air between tasks, or noticing the signs of spring around you.

Small moments in nature can make a real difference.

At CW Therapy, we believe caring for your mental health can start with simple, intentional steps.

Many parents expect pregnancy and early parenthood to feel joyful and natural.

But the perinatal period — pregnancy through the first year after birth — can also bring anxiety, overwhelm, sadness, or a sense that something feels different than expected.

Perinatal anxiety and postpartum depression are more common than many people realize, and support can make a meaningful difference.

In our newest blog, perinatal mental health specialist Amy de Nobriga shares what these experiences can look like and how therapy can help parents feel more supported during this transition.

If this season has felt harder than you expected, you are not alone.

CW Therapy loves supporting the Downtown Georgetown community — and the Main Street Menu is a great new opportunity to experience everything our local restaurants have to offer this spring.
It’s a chance to explore something new, connect with others, and spend time enjoying the community around you.
Moments like these can also support mental wellness by creating space for connection and shared experiences — both inside and outside the therapy room.
We’re proud to be part of the Downtown Georgetown community and always enjoy seeing events like this bring people together.
