A look inside a low back chiro session at Cūro 👋
We start with a broader assessment of the lower back — looking at how the area is moving, along with the surrounding muscles and tissues, to help identify what needs to be addressed that day.
From there, we get more specific — assessing the SI joints and pelvis for movement, restriction and how they may be contributing to the overall presentation.
Next, we assess the spine more specifically, looking at movement and mobility through individual areas to help guide treatment.
Chiropractic adjustments are then used to help improve movement in joints that aren’t moving as well as they should.
Chiro visits aren’t only about the joints.
Soft tissue techniques can help address muscle tension and areas of restriction that may be contributing to pain or altered movement.
The hips and lower back work closely together.
Hip mobilizations can be incorporated to improve hip movement when restrictions there may be contributing to low-back or pelvic complaints.
