June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

It is also an opportunity to reflect on the impacts of colonization, residential schools, and intergenerational trauma that continue to affect Indigenous communities today. Understanding this history is an important part of fostering reconciliation, empathy, and meaningful change.

We encourage everyone to take time to learn, listen, and reflect on Indigenous histories and perspectives, not only in June, but throughout the year.

Addiction rarely begins with the intention of becoming an addiction.

It often starts small, a way to relax after a stressful day, cope with difficult emotions, fit in socially, or find temporary relief from pain. In the beginning, it can feel manageable, controlled, and harmless. Many people believe they can stop whenever they choose.

But addiction doesn't happen overnight. It can gradually take hold, changing patterns, behaviours, and relationships before a person even realizes how much control has been lost.

The good news is that recovery is possible, and no one has to face the journey alone.

We understand that addiction is not a moral failing or a lack of willpower. It is a complex challenge that deserves compassion, understanding, and professional support. We work with individuals to help them understand the underlying causes of addiction, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward lasting recovery.

Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but reaching out for support is a sign of strength.

Mental health is an essential part of accessibility.

When workplaces, organizations, and communities reduce barriers to mental health support, encourage open conversations, and foster psychological safety, they create opportunities for greater inclusion and well-being for all.

Accessible and inclusive environments contribute directly to healthier individuals, stronger teams, and more resilient communities.

Whether through accommodation, understanding, or proactive wellness initiatives, small actions can have a significant impact on someone's ability to participate fully and confidently.

Mondays can feel overwhelming for many of us.

After a shift in pace over the weekend, jumping back into responsibilities, expectations, and routines can feel like a lot all at once.

There’s often pressure to start the week strong, be productive, and have everything figured out, before we’ve had a chance to ease in.

If Mondays feel heavy, you’re not alone. Try starting small, setting realistic expectations, and giving yourself space to transition.

A slower start can still be a strong one.

Workplace loneliness is more common than many realize. Even in busy environments, it’s possible to feel isolated, unseen, or disconnected from those around us. This sense of disconnection can impact not only our mental health, but also our engagement and sense of purpose at work.

Creating spaces for genuine connection, through open conversations, supportive leadership, and a culture of inclusion, can make a meaningful difference.

Checking in with one another, even in small ways, helps remind us that we’re not alone.
Connection is not just a benefit of a healthy workplace, it’s essential to it.

On the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, we stand in support of 2SLGBTQ+ communities and reaffirm the importance of dignity, safety, and belonging for all.

Discrimination, stigma, and exclusion continue to impact mental health and well-being. Creating inclusive, affirming spaces, at work, in our communities, and in our everyday interactions, matters.

Today is a reminder to listen, learn, and stand alongside one another with respect and care.

Parenting can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming, exhausting, and at times, isolating. The pressure to always “get it right” can take a real toll.
Seeking counselling isn’t a sign of struggle, it’s a way of giving yourself space to be heard, to vent, and to process everything you’re carrying. Having a dedicated, non-judgmental place to talk can make a meaningful difference.
Parenting is hard. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
