Most people keep their gym life and their mental health support completely separate. At Eau Claire Athletic Club, they are in the same building.
The Psychology Group has a location inside Eau Claire Athletic Club, and there is a reason we think that matters. Research consistently shows that people who combine regular physical activity with psychological support see better outcomes across mood, resilience, and relationships than those who rely on one alone.
Movement regulates your nervous system. Therapy helps you understand what your nervous system has been carrying. They target different things, which is exactly why they complement each other so well.
You do not need to be in therapy forever. But if you have ever considered it, being steps away from your workout is a pretty good place to start.
Tag someone who does both.

You didn’t mean to react that way. But something got triggered, and now there’s distance between you and your partner that wasn’t there before.
Sometimes what looks like overreacting isn’t really about the moment at all. It’s about everything that came before it. Old patterns, unprocessed experiences, nervous system responses that got wired in long before this relationship existed.
That doesn’t mean your partner is off the hook. It means the reaction is data worth paying attention to.
Lauren breaks down what’s actually happening when our responses feel disproportionate, and why it tends to push people away instead of bringing them closer. If this sounds familiar, it might be worth exploring what’s underneath, whether that’s on your own or with your partner.

The tabs that never close.
The appointments, the groceries, the permission slips, the emotional temperature of everyone in the room. Nobody assigned it to you. It just became yours.
The mental load is not just about doing more. It is about never being fully off.
Anusha talks about this in session because it shows up everywhere. In burnout, in relationship tension, in the exhaustion that sleep does not fix.
If this resonated, save it and follow .yyc for more content on the things that actually affect your mental health.

You got the promotion. You did the work. You have the track record.
And you still wake up waiting to be found out.
That is not a character flaw. That is imposter syndrome, and it is far more common than most people admit, especially among people who are genuinely good at what they do.
The problem is not your ability. It is the story you have been told, or told yourself, about whether you actually deserve to be where you are.
Naming it is the first step to changing it.
