We would like to recognize another hero in healthcare who was presented with her second Guardian Angel award recently! The Guardian Angel program celebrates those who have made a significant difference in the lives of their patients, often going above and beyond the call of duty.
Dr. Meagan White was recognized for her phenomenal work recently and was presented with a Guardian Angel Award from the WRH Foundation. We are grateful for people, like Dr. White, who help enhance the experience of the patients of Western Health, making them feel comfortable and important during their journey through our healthcare system.
Dr. White's nominator shared their experience and gratitude with us as follows: "Dr. White, we met several years ago in the Palliative Care Unit after my sister had been diagnosed with stage IV Cancer. She was very pleased with your calm and gentle demeanour. We visited you many times during her journey with cancer and she would always make sure to tell you that you were her Guardian Angel. Dr. White, I am very thankful to have had your help, guidance and support. You were always available to take my calls right from the beginning to the end. You definitely are a Guardian Angel ❤️."
