This afternoon, we held our 2nd annual ! We laced up our sneakers and walked 3 km to support a cause so close to our hearts. 👟✨

Thanks to everyone’s incredible support, we raised a total of $479 for the Alzheimer's Society!

We want to give a massive shoutout and THANK YOU to our CUPE Local 1182 for their generous donation, and The CHEER Team for doing a phenomenal job organizing today's event!

We’re proud to announce that we are one of the first LTC homes in Canada to be certified as having met the national target for appropriate use of antipsychotic medication. Join us at Extendicare York as we lace up our sneakers to raise awareness and show our heartfelt support for everyone affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Together, we truly can make a difference!

Who: All staff, residents, and families are welcome!

👕 What to Wear
Show your support visually! Please wear your:
Pre-purchased Alzheimer’s shirts OR * Any blue or purple shirt

⚠️ Important Parking Notice
Please note that the Parking Lot will be closed from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM on the day of the event to ensure the safety of our walkers. Please plan your arrival and parking accordingly.

🤝 How You Can Help
We will be accepting donations for the Alzheimer Society during the event. Every little bit helps fund crucial research and support.
