Guelph General Hospital Guelph General Hospital is a dynamic, comprehensive acute care facility providing a full range of services to the residents of Guelph and Wellington County.

When the doors to Guelph General Hospital were opened on August 16, 1875, the hospital had 12 beds, a small infectious room, and a dispensary. A superintendent and two nurses provided care, as well as working in the kitchen, housekeeping, switchboard, and laundry. Today, Guelph General Hospital is a dynamic, comprehensive acute care facility providing a full range of services to the residents of Guelph and Wellington County. Services include 24-hour emergency coverage, advanced technology and diagnostic support, and specialty programs such as being the regional provider for general vascular surgery and a designated Provincial Centre of Excellence for bariatric surgery.

GGH Speedvale Campus Xray: Temporary Downtime October 14 - November 30

Updates are underway to serve you better at our new Angel Gabriel Foundation Diagnostic Imaging Centre, located at the GGH Speedvale Campus. These updates will impact certain rooms and programs, beginning with a temporary downtime of our Xray services from now until November 30.

Xray service continues at the GGH Delhi Campus, no appointment required, and walk ins welcome.

We will continue to provide updates as rooms and programs are impacted. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this important update.

Leading up to Thanksgiving tomorrow, we've been sharing five days of ! A countdown to some of what we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving and year-round.

Today we’re giving a huge shoutout to our partners, like Guelph Police Service and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service, who work alongside us to support our patients, staff, and community every day! We’re grateful for the teamwork and collaboration that help strengthen the care we provide.

As you gather with family and friends, remember these simple actions to help prevent the spread of infections: wash your hands regularly, cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue, stay home if you’re feeling sick and keep your immunizations up to date.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we are introducing five days of ! A countdown to some of what we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving and year-round.

To kick it off, we would like to thank our 1,756 dedicated staff members and 465 professional staff members who work tirelessly to provide exceptional care to our community.

Among them are members of the latest cohort of our Emerging Leaders’ Program, who represent departments across the hospital and are committed to growing their leadership skills to help make GGH even stronger.

We are so grateful you chose our hospital as the place to share your time and talents.
