Today is National Child and Youth Mental Health Day—an opportunity to advocate for equitable and accessible mental health care for children and youth.
This year, Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO) has chosen the theme: “Voices Unheard, Stories Told: Centering the Diversity of Ontario’s Infants, Children & Youth.”
At the Maplewoods Centre, we are deeply committed to providing care that embraces all identities, family structures, and lived experiences. Through our evidence-based services and programs, we support the mental well-being of children and youth while also training the next generation of mental health professionals.
We walk alongside young people and their families as they navigate a wide range of challenges, including (but not limited to):
• Anger outbursts and behaviour challenges
• Anxiety, depression, and phobias
• Grief and loss
• Neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism
• Social skills and peer relationships
