CAPTION

Your massage helps… so why does the pain keep coming back?

That’s something I hear often.

When someone comes to me with recurring neck and shoulder pain, I don’t want to look only at the spot that hurts.

I want to understand the bigger picture — where I find tension, how your neck is moving, your daily habits, stress, sleep, and what other symptoms are showing up with it.

Then I decide where it makes sense to start.

Massage, heat, gua sha, cupping and acupuncture are all different tools I can use.

First, understand what’s happening. Then choose the treatment.

Are your feet always cold — even with socks on? 🧦

It’s something I hear from women all the time. Cold feet can have many different causes, so I never assume everyone is the same. But when I’m working with someone, I often start by checking the feet and calves, especially when there’s also tightness, heaviness or swelling.

Sometimes the little things we’ve learned to call “normal” are simply worth paying attention to. 🤍

Persistent cold feet can have causes that need medical assessment, especially when accompanied by colour changes, numbness, pain or other new symptoms.

Neck pain isn’t always about your neck.

One of the first things I look at is how much tension your shoulders and upper back have been holding. Sometimes helping those areas relax is the best place to start. 🤍
