The Honouring the Journey: Carrying Love Forward grief retreat on October 16–18, 2026 is now fully booked.

Another grief retreat is planned for April 2027. More details will be shared in the new year.

On World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, we’re helping our community better understand what hospice palliative care can look like.

Palliative care focuses on comfort and quality of life for people living with serious illness. It can begin earlier than many people realize, including alongside treatment, and may be provided at home, in hospital, in long-term care or in a residential hospice.

At Dr. Kemp’s House, residents receive specialized care in a home-like setting, while families and caregivers receive information, guidance and emotional support.

Hospice palliative care is about caring for the whole person and helping people live each day in the way that matters to them.

Thanksgiving can bring up many feelings, especially when you’re grieving.

For some people, the holiday may feel comforting. For others, it may feel heavy, complicated or different than it used to. There is no right way to move through it.

Our team shares a few gentle reminders for navigating Thanksgiving while carrying grief, including making space for mixed emotions, setting boundaries and finding small ways to remember your loved one.
