Lucía moved to Canada in 2012 and has since built a life rooted in community, learning, and connection. Lucía brings several years of experience as a personal trainer and nutrition coach in Kamloops, where she has supported individuals across a wide range of ages and backgrounds in developing healthier, more balanced lifestyles.
Through her work, Lucía has gained experience supporting mothers as they navigate the many demands of motherhood, balancing multiple roles, and incorporating health and wellness into their daily lives. She has also supported older adults in maintaining strength, mobility, and overall well-being while navigating life transitions, grief, and loss. Her experience also includes supporting newcomers to Canada as they adjust to cultural transitions and build a sense of belonging, facilitating wellness workshops within Indigenous communities in British Columbia, and volunteering to provide emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
As a mother of two daughters, aged 11 and 10, Lucía understands the complexities and rewards of parenting and navigating the many roles we hold throughout life. Her personal and professional experiences have deepened her appreciation for the importance of compassion, resilience, and meaningful connection.
Lucía recognizes every person’s story, values, and goals are unique and Lucía tailors her approach to meet each client where they are, considering their individual experiences, culture, strengths, and needs. She views mental health through an integrative lens, recognizing that our well-being is shaped by the connection between our biological, psychological, social, cultural, environmental and life experiences.
Outside of her work, Lucía enjoys reading, meditation, yoga, strength training, and spending time in nature through hiking, skiing, and camping. She values meaningful relationships and enjoys travelling and learning from different cultures. Lucia is fluent in Spanish and English.
