When people think about breakup grief, they often focus on missing their ex-partner. But many people are also grieving lost dreams, disrupted routines, changes in identity, and uncertainty about the future.

Understanding what you’re grieving can help you respond to yourself with greater compassion and clarity.

Instead of asking, “Why can’t I get over this?” try asking: “What loss am I carrying right now?”

The answer may reveal what needs attention, support, and healing.

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to honour the histories, cultures, strengths, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. It is also an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the relationship between culture, identity, healing, and mental wellness. As we learn from Indigenous perspectives and experiences, may we continue to foster respect, cultural safety, and meaningful reconciliation. 🧡

This Pride Month, we celebrate the courage of those who have fought for visibility, rights, and belonging. We honour the diversity of identities, experiences, and stories within 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. And we reaffirm our commitment to providing affirming, inclusive, and compassionate mental health care.

🌈 Pride is more than a celebration, it is a reminder that everyone deserves to live authentically, safely, and with dignity.

Uncertainty can feel uncomfortable because our brains are wired to seek predictability and safety. But not having all the answers doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.

Learning to sit with uncertainty can help reduce anxiety, build resilience, and create more space for self-trust and calm. Small steps, self-compassion, and staying present can make a big difference.

You don’t have to figure everything out all at once.

As Mental Health Month comes to an end, remember: mental health care is not just for one month, it’s for every day.

Healing is not linear, and asking for support is never a weakness. Small steps, honest conversations, rest, boundaries, and self-compassion all matter.

One of the most important things we want people to remember is this:
You do not have to wait until you’re falling apart to deserve support.

Take care of your mind the same way you care for your body with patience, attention, and compassion.

You matter. Your mental health matters.
