📍 Kemptville Youth Centre | Ages 11–16

Join psychotherapist Patricia Cameron, from , for a creative art workshop where youth will design a personalized oracle card deck.

Participants will identify personal strengths, increase self-awareness, practice intuition, and develop creative self-expression skills!

Hi! I'm on holiday for the next 11 days. Its been a wild ride through the stormy waters 🌊 the first half of this year I've been rebuilding my foundation while navigating family emergencies and personal loss. I have to be honest, this is authentic me. I bring my whole self to my therapy sessions with my dear clients.
I couldn't have made it through this chapter without my new support of rock climbing , finding new rhythms in my practices of strength training, yoga, making time to be in nature (even 5 minutes when you feel you have no time you HAVE to make time) making time to process feelings though art, journaling, movement, grounding... I have to practice what I teach. Rock climbing has taught me " I can do hard things" and I can fall safely, and get back up and try again. This time the wisdom was hard earned.

I'll be painting and collageing and making spell jars in nature, reading in my hammock and exploring with my new paddle board.

I'm back in the studio in July ready to meet you with tea, bubly, tarot/oracle cards, and art practices to help you hold space for what is emerging for you.

Join Patricia Cameron Art Therapist and Aleisha Maloney Therapeutic Arts Practitioner for this unique soul offering. We will hold the space for you to connect to your body's wisdom in this safe creative container.

You will be invited to engage in intuitive body tracing and painting on large paper - embodied somatic gestural art making using tempera paint and mixed media.

Trauma informed - body tracing is not required to participate. you may choose to create a symbol of self instead of tracing the body for your creation.

Participants are encouraged to bring a journal for reflection questions.

🌟 Create Your Own Oracle Deck: Strengths, Symbols & Self-Discovery
With Art Therapist Patricia Cameron and Therapeutic Arts Practitioner Aleisha Maloney

What if you could create a deck of cards filled with your own wisdom?
In this creative open studio casual drop in event, you will be invited to design a personalized oracle card deck using imagery, words, colors, and symbols that represent your strengths, values, dreams, and inner resources. Using collage images and dry mixed media.

Through optional guided art-making and reflection activities, participants will explore questions such as:
What wisdom does my wise self want to share with me?
What helps me through difficult times?
What qualities do I want to grow?
What inspires me?

Other art options available or bring your own project.

Pay what you can - $25 suggested. Drop in any time during the 3 hours Friday evening open studio!

I've been drawing on my deepest reserves, to get through this. Life is joy and beauty, suffering and pain. I'm grieving, loving. I breath in connection & community, and breath out the grind & struggle. We really are in this together. Nobody gets out alive. We have to be with each other while we can.
I pray for safe harbor for my family. I release control and set the dove free. I trust in myself to direct my ship where to go as much as possible, but sometimes you have to angle in flow and allow the current to take you, fighting only wears you out. I'm fine tuning my discernment. I do what I can, within my capacity. Go gently.

I'm here, just in a deeply conscientious way, that honors my clients and capacity! Accepting a few new clients for summer sessions, summer bookings for July and August now open. A couple soul offerings for women's circles and open studios coming up in July! I will be at Kalaidoscope Festival July 29th - August 3rd with my art therapy offerings.

I am leading a free workshop today at Art on 44 at Green Gables Winery! Come say hi, I will be painting en plein air, enjoying the grounds, and one space just opened up in my workshop at 2pm!

How do we nurture our roots and connection with the important people in our lives and heritage?

My art invitation today is to create your own "Inner Garden" with collage and mixed media. Trust the materials you're drawn to today, choose images and words intuitively, connect to yourself and let go of all judgements in your art, trust the process to reveal something from within.
