Congratulations to the team at Middleton Collaborative Practice, recipients of the 2026 NSCFP Patient’s Medical Home: Outstanding Team-Based Family Practice Award!

The award will be presented at the NSCFP Family Medicine Awards Banquet on October 23, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Pier 21 in Halifax.

The NSCFP Family Medicine Conference takes place the same day.

PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Pickett is a resident and will NOT be taking on her own patients.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Laura Pickett to MCP as she begins her Family Medicine Residency training with us. Laura grew up in Bedford, NS and graduated from Acadia University prior to completing her doctor of medicine degree at University College Cork in Ireland. She is happy to be back in the Annapolis Valley and will spend the next two years of her training with us in Middleton. Welcome Laura!

Our COMMUNITY CUPBOARD is available to all patients of our clinic and is located inside the hallway to the left of our reception area for privacy. If you have need, please help yourself to some food and/or personal care items. If you are able to contribute to our cupboard please feel free to leave donations with staff at reception.

We regret to announce that Dr. Jerry Asiedu and Dr. Ama Asiedu will be closing their practices this summer (Dr. Jerry in July and Dr. Ama in August). We want to thank them for their service to our community and wish them well in their new endeavours.

While we are actively trying to recruit physicians to take over their practices, we have not yet been successful.

Those who are currently their patients will be notified directly of their status upon the Asiedu’s departure (eg whether or not a new provider has been found for them). Please do not contact the clinic to ask about your status. Thanks for your patience during this transition time.
