We warmly invite women, mothers and children to join our Women & Kids-Only Swimming Program at the Mississauga Valley Community Centre.

đź”’ This is a private, female-only environment:

âś… Women and girls of all ages are welcome
âś… Boys are permitted only up to eight years old
âś… All instructors are female
âś… All lifeguards are female
âś… All program staff are female
đźš« No men are permitted

đź“… Every Saturday
⏰ Classes run between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.

Learning to swim is widely encouraged in our Islamic tradition and regarded by many as a recommended Sunnah. It is also much more than exercise, it is a life-saving skill.

The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 300,000 people lose their lives to drowning every year, and many of these deaths are preventable.

If you or your child does not know how to swim, please don’t feel embarrassed. It is okay to be a complete beginner. What matters is choosing to do something about it now.

You are never too old, and it is never too late to learn!

We offer:

đź’¦ Mom & Tot
đź’¦ Preschool
💦 Swim for Life 1–3
💦 Swim for Life 4–6
💦 Swim for Life 7–8
💦 Swim for Life 9–11
💦 Adult/Youth 1–2
💦 Adult/Youth 3–5
💦 Aquafit—30- and 60-minute options

Let’s do our part to equip ourselves and our children with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to stay safer around water.

Don’t let fear, embarrassment or hesitation hold you back. Act now—because learning to swim could save your life or the life of someone you love.

MUSCLE IS METABOLIC CURRENCY. 💪🏽

And ladies, especially my busy moms , we need to start investing in it.

We spend so much of our lives pouring into everyone else. Our children. Our families. Our work. Our homes.

But at some point, we have to ask:

What am I putting back into ME?

Building and maintaining muscle isn’t just about looking toned or lifting heavier weights.

Muscle plays a powerful role in your metabolic health.

✨ It helps your body manage blood sugar and improve insulin sensitivity.
✨ It supports a healthier metabolism.
✨ It strengthens and protects your bones.
✨ It improves balance, stability and resilience against injuries and fractures.
✨ It supports cardiovascular health and circulation.
✨ It supports brain health, mood and cognitive function.
✨ And as we age, maintaining muscle becomes increasingly important for protecting our independence and quality of life.

We cannot stop aging, but we CAN become stronger as we age.

Loss of muscle and physical inactivity are associated with greater risks of insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, falls, fractures and loss of independence.

And cognitive health matters too. Researchers continue to study the strong relationship between metabolic health, insulin resistance and diseases such as Alzheimer’s which is why you may sometimes hear Alzheimer’s described as “type 3 diabetes.”

So no, strength training isn't selfish.

Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of everyone who depends on you.

Busy moms, I know you're tired.
I know your schedule is full.
I know everyone seems to need something from you.

But your body needs something from you too.

Protein.
Strength training.
Movement.
Recovery.
Consistency.

You don't need to spend hours in the gym.

You need to start building the body that is going to carry you through the next 10, 20, 30+ years of your life.

Build the muscle now.
Protect the woman you'll become later.

It's time to pour back into YOU.

It’s time to get strong, physically, mentally and spiritually.

WHOS IS WITH ME????

There is so much more to life than getting through the to-do list.

There is a whole world waiting to be explored.

Mountains to climb.
Oceans to see.
Trails to walk.
New places to discover.
Quiet moments in nature where we can pause, breathe, reflect and reconnect with Allah and His beautiful creation.

As busy moms, it can be so easy to put ourselves last. We spend our days caring for our children, our husbands, our parents, our homes and everyone around us.

But I want you to remember something:👇

Your health is what allows you to experience the blessings of this life.
Being strong and fit isn't just about how you look.
It's about having the strength and energy to walk through a new city without exhaustion.
To hike that trail.
To carry your luggage.
To explore with your family.
To get out of the car and actually enjoy the destination instead of being limited by your body.
And perhaps most importantly, to experience the beauty of Allah's creation with a body that is capable of taking you there.

There is so much beauty out there.
So much to see.
So much to experience.
So much to learn.
So much connection to be found.

Don't wait until you're “older” to start taking care of yourself.

👏Build the strength now that will allow you to keep saying YES to life later.👏

Take care of your body, not because you need to be smaller, but because you have a life to LIVE.
Because you have places to GO.

Because you have a world to EXPLORE.

And because this incredible body you've been given is a blessing and an amanah.
Stay strong. Stay healthy. Keep exploring. 🌎

Your future self—and perhaps your future adventures—will thank you.

MAMAS,

GET STRONG FOR MORE THAN YOUR MIRROR.

You need to get strong because you have a LIFE to live. ❤️
Yes… your body may change.
Your clothes may fit differently.
You may feel sexier, more confident, and more comfortable in your own skin.
And YES, those things matter too.
But what if the real transformation isn’t what you see in the mirror?

What if it’s waking up with more energy?
What if it’s being able to get through your day without your body aching?

What if it’s carrying the groceries, lifting your kids, climbing the stairs, getting up off the floor, travelling, working, playing, and doing all the things you love without constantly thinking about what hurts?

What if it’s sleeping better?
Feeling happier?
Feeling capable?
Having more confidence in yourself?
Having a stronger, more resilient body that allows you to actually participate in your life instead of just getting through it?

Because mama… we need to stop measuring health by the number on the scale.

It’s not just about how long we live.
It’s about how WELL we live.
How much energy we have.
How much mobility we maintain.
How strong we remain.
How independent we can be.
How present we are with our children.
How much we can contribute to the people we love.
How much LIFE we still have in us.

And movement, especially strength training — can be one of the most powerful tools you have to support that life.
It can challenge your body, build muscle, improve your physical capacity, support your mood, help you manage stress, and give you that incredible feeling of “I CAN DO THIS.”

For years, I thought I was doing everything right...
Hours of cardio. Light weights. The pink dumbbells. Eating too many carbs, not nearly enough protein or fibre. Running on little sleep. Barely drinking enough water.
I was working hard... but I wasn't getting the results I wanted.

I felt exhausted, overwhelmed, unhealthy, and stuck.
I've lived through burnout, divorce, single motherhood, and seasons where simply making it through the day felt like a victory.

Then, at 44 years old, I made a decision to stop chasing exhaustion and start building strength.

Lifting heavy weights changed everything.

It wasn't endless cardio that transformed my body. It was strength training.

When I started lifting heavy, prioritizing protein and fibre, hydrating properly, sleeping enough, and training smarter instead of longer, my body completely changed.

I became leaner. I became stronger. I gained energy. I built confidence. I created a body that supports my life instead of holding me back.

Today, at 48, I am leaner, fitter, and stronger than I have ever been in my entire life.

That's why I created StrongHer Believer.

I'm here to show busy women and moms that it's never too late to transform your health. You don't need to punish yourself with endless cardio or survive on tiny portions. You need the right strategy, consistency, and someone who's walked the path before you.
I've lived it.

Now I'm here to help you do the same.
Trust me. Trust the process. Your strongest chapter is still ahead of you. đź’Şđź’“
