SoftSim Technologies is proud to announce a new engagement supporting the Canadian Coast Guard in the modernization of SLDMB.ca.

SLDMB.ca plays an important role in Canada’s marine Search and Rescue ecosystem, helping process data from Self-Locating Datum Marker Buoys used to understand real-time sea surface conditions and support search-and-rescue planning.

Through this engagement, SoftSim’s senior technology professionals will work collaboratively with Canadian Coast Guard IT teams to help modernize the platform, from solution architecture and software development to systems integration, security, testing, data migration and knowledge transfer.

The modernization will help deliver a more secure and modern SLDMB.ca application while strengthening the technology that supports critical maritime operations. The scope includes modernization of the application’s technology platforms, support for additional data sources, and integration with other Canadian Coast Guard systems.

We’re proud to bring SoftSim’s expertise to a project where modern technology supports an important public mission, and to continue helping Government of Canada organizations build secure, reliable and future-ready digital solutions.

SoftSim Technologies is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our growing team in Montreal, QC (Hybrid).

If you're passionate about building production-ready AI systems, working with LLMs, and developing scalable data pipelines, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll work on:
• AI data pipelines (ingestion, cleaning, labeling, augmentation)
• Fine-tuning and deploying machine learning models
• Agentic AI workflows using Claude/Anthropic APIs
• Full-stack development with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, and PHP
• PostgreSQL, MinIO/S3, Linux, AWS, and production infrastructure

We're looking for someone with:
✔ 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
✔ Strong Python and TypeScript/JavaScript skills
✔ Hands-on experience with machine learning and model fine-tuning
✔ Experience building LLM or agentic AI applications
✔ PostgreSQL, SQL, Linux, and AWS experience

Nice to have:
• TensorFlow, TF.js, ONNX, or Hugging Face
• RAG / Vector Search
