What a wonderful celebration today as we gathered to honour an incredible milestone - 103 years young! Surrounded by her loving daughter and closest friends, our birthday guest of honour enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch, birthday cake, and plenty of laughter and cherished memories. It was a joy to celebrate such a remarkable woman whose spirit inspires everyone around her. Wishing her a very happy 103rd birthday and many more special moments ahead!

What a beautiful day to get moving 🌞 Perfect weather for the first day of Foxview’s newest club: Memory Care Walking Group. A great way for residents to get fresh air, gentle excercise, and time together in the sunshine. There’s nothing like a walk on a lovely day to lift the spirits and bring smiles all around.

It took a while but Mother Nature agreed no more frost. Our green thumb residents, Activity Assistant Jen, her husband Ken & dog Joey (for supervision) rejuvenated our planting beds for flowers & vegetables. Thanks to our Environmental Services Manager JL for doing the heavy lifting, getting 40 bags of earth. Our largest bed will be dedicated to 'Plant-a-Row / Share-a-Row’ in support of The Ottawa Food Bank. Heartfelt thanks to our Marketing Manager, Tammy for launching this building-wide initiative. This amazing community never disappoints! Our special Family & Friends BINGO evening raised over $1,300. for Ronald McDonald House.

A huge thanks to our GM Fawn for bringing this wonderful 'pay it forward' opportunity into our home.

Today's rain held off long enough for a fun trip to Miller's Farm & Market in Manotick - with no crowds! Our residents got beautiful flowers to brighten their suites & balconies.

We also took time to check out the new babes enjoying the fresh air & cool mud!

As a gardening group, we agreed that in addition to supporting this terrific local business, the amazing variety, quality & pricing means we'll return to fill our backyard planter beds with some stunning beauties soon.
