You don't need the world to stop.
You just need five minutes where you don't have to pretend you're not carrying something this heavy.
5 minutes of not performing.

You are allowed to enjoy the progress while still aiming higher.

Our 64th Annual General Meeting centers on the vital theme, “Staying independent as we age: What helps, what hurts, and what really matters.” This conversation invites us to reflect on the real-life factors that shape independence for older adults—ranging from supportive services and strong community connections to the barriers that can limit choice and quality of life. Through an engaging panel discussion featuring members from the Health Quality Council of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism, we will explore practical insights, lived experiences, and system-level perspectives. Together, this dialogue aims to highlight what truly makes a difference in supporting autonomy, dignity, and well-being as we age, while inspiring meaningful action within our communities. There will be opportunity for members to ask questions and participate

We've normalized overconsumption!
Podcasts while walking.
Doom scrolling on the toilet.
Netflix while eating.
Something is always filling the silence.
We're becoming scared of our thoughts. Our minds have not breathing space. We're feeling groggy and mentally exhausted. of course we are. Our brains never get a break. Boredom is the cure.

Affirmations for Hard Times
-I know this is temporary, and it won't last forever, even if it feels heavy right now.
-I have the strength to get through this, even on the days I feel unsure.
-It's okay to take things one step at a time, at my own pace.
-My feelings are valid, but they don't define me or my future.
-I can ask for help when I need it - there's not shame in that at all.
-Even small progress is still meaningful progress, and it counts.
-I am doing my best, and that's enough for today.
-I deserve patience and kindness from myself, just like I give to others.
