Some people spend their whole lives wondering what their destiny is or why they are here. The truth is, for many of us, that purpose isn’t revealed all at once. It unfolds as we live, grow, and move through different chapters of our lives.
If you’re willing to go with the flow, life can take you in directions you never imagined. You may begin on one path and find yourself somewhere completely different years later. The Universe often has plans for us that we cannot see in advance.
Lately, I’ve come to realize that one of my roles is helping people through their transition from this world to the next. Not only in a spiritual sense, but in very practical ways as well. Sometimes that means helping with doctors, lawyers, appointments, paperwork, transportation, difficult conversations, or simply sitting beside someone when they need support.
What I’ve learned is that we never really know where we will be needed. We must be flexible enough to adapt as each person’s needs change. Every journey is different, and every role we play in another person’s life is unique.
Some friendships last a lifetime. Some are only meant for a season. Some people enter our lives briefly, teach us something important, and then continue on their own path.
You never truly know why someone has been placed in your life or why you’ve been placed in theirs.
The important thing is to show up.
To be present.
To help when you can.
To simply be there when you’re needed.
Sometimes that’s the greatest purpose of all.
