Beneath the Water Sun

In the deep blue silence,
where the old waters keep their songs,
a woman rises with the tide
as if her spirit remembers
a path older than the shore.

The shark circles like courage.
The orca carries the moon in its breath.
The jellyfish drift like lanterns
lit by hands we cannot see.

And far below,
the great octopus opens its red arms,
not to capture,
but to teach—
that life is held by many directions,
many roots,
many unseen prayers.

She lifts her face to the light,
and the feather in her hair
moves like a message from those
who walked before her.

They do not speak loudly.
They speak through water,
through bone,
through the turning of fins,
through the golden eye of the sun
watching from above.

“Do not fear the dark,”
the ancestors whisper.
“The deep is not empty.
It is where memory lives.”

So she opens her arms
between the hunter and the healer,
between shadow and flame,
between the sea and the sky.

And for one sacred breath,
all creatures become one circle—
the shark, the orca, the woman, the tide,
the silent ones beneath the waves.

Nothing is lost.
Nothing truly leaves.

It only changes shape,
becoming light through water,
becoming song through silence,
becoming spirit
inside the great blue heart
of the world.

A Message from Ms. Barbara

This weekend marks the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year and a very special turning point in nature’s cycle.

For a brief moment, the sun reaches its highest point in the sky. Ancient cultures all around the world recognized this as a sacred time. They understood that when nature pauses, we are invited to pause as well.

We live in a world that constantly tells us to do more, work harder, push further, and keep chasing the next thing. But the Summer Solstice reminds us that there is power in stillness.

Take a few moments this weekend to sit quietly in the sunshine. Listen to the birds. Feel the warmth on your face. Breathe deeply. Allow yourself to simply be.

Ask yourself:

🌞 What am I ready to let go of?

🌞 What no longer serves my highest good?

🌞 What dreams, hopes, and blessings am I ready to welcome into the months ahead?

The light has reached its peak, and now the wheel slowly begins to turn toward a new season. Just as nature changes, so do we.

Remember, healing doesn’t always happen through action. Sometimes healing happens through rest. Through reflection. Through giving yourself permission to stop carrying what was never yours to carry.

This Solstice, honor yourself.

Sit in the light.

Count your blessings.

Release your worries.

And trust that the path ahead is unfolding exactly as it should.

Some people call it coincidence.

Some people call it grief.

Some people call it a sign.

I call it communication.

One of the ways Spirit often reaches us is through music. Not just a random song coming on the radio, but a song whose lyrics seem to speak directly to what you are facing that day.

Since a dear friend of mine passed, an artist he loved and played a lot before he passed sexy has been showing up every day. Different songs. Different lyrics. Different messages. Yet every morning, when I get into the car, there it is again the same artist is playing right at the start of a song

What is fascinating is that the lyrics always seem to match what I am about to face that day.

Sometimes the song is about strength when I am about to face a difficult task.

Sometimes it is about patience when I need to slow down.

Sometimes it is about letting go when I am holding on too tightly.

Sometimes it is about trust when I am worried about what comes next.

The message isn’t always obvious at first, but by the end of the day, I often understand exactly why that particular song appeared.

It’s as though Spirit is saying, “Here’s what you need to know today. Here’s what to expect. Here’s how to handle it. And by the way, you’re not doing it alone.”

I believe our loved ones can use music, radios, electronics, butterflies, dragonflies, feathers, dreams, and countless other ways to remind us that they are still near.

The next time a song catches your attention, don’t just listen to the melody.

Listen to the words.

You may discover that the message isn’t in the music itself.

The message was meant for you.
