We’re officially opening up 2 pro bono (free) spots, 2 sliding scale spots, and $125/hr rates with our newest team member, Julia Maltese!

Julia is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who brings incredible warmth, empathy, and genuine care to our practice. When she’s not in the therapy room, you’ll usually find her trying out a new recipe, lost in a book, or staying active. 👋 🌱

Because she’s joining us in her qualifying phase under the direct supervision of our Psychological Associate, we can offer top-tier care at a more accessible rate.

These spots won’t stay open for long! Give us a call or head to kindfulpsych.com to get booked in with Julia! 📞💻

Apparently people still don’t know this...

We have a brand new website! 🌐 🌿

We’ve been working behind the scenes to make kindfulpsych.com a much easier space to navigate. Now you can find everything in one spot, from therapy options and clear pricing to free programs and a fresh photo gallery of our office. We can’t wait for you to take a look around! (link in bio)

If you spot anything out of place or have suggestions to make it even better, drop us a quick DM 💬

We’ve been a little too quiet...

We let our social media take a back seat to the work we do inside our therapy rooms. But connection shouldn’t stop at our office doors. 🪴

We want this page to feel like an extension of our practice: warm, approachable, informative, and human.

Moving forward, expect to see a lot more of what makes Kindful tick.

That starts with the team! P.S. A few of our team members couldn’t make it to this shoot, but you’ll be seeing their faces shorty!

We’re officially turning a new page here, and we’re glad you’re along for it.

From a self-compassion perspective, difficulty is not a personal failure. It’s part of the shared human experience.

Remembering this can soften isolation and create space for kindness toward ourselves during hard moments.

The Self-Compassion Pause is a brief practice for moments of stress or emotional difficulty.

By acknowledging what’s happening, recognizing the universal humanity of your experience, and responding with kindness, we support emotional regulation and care.

Common humanity reminds us that struggle, imperfection, and emotional pain are a *normal* part of being human.

This perspective can reduce feelings of isolation and support a kinder, more forgiving relationship with ourselves.

Self-compassion supports responding rather than reacting.

Pausing to notice what’s happening internally allows space for thoughtful, caring choices, especially during stress.

Self-compassion isn’t about doing it “right.”

It’s about returning, again and again, to awareness, kindness, and care for our human selves when life feels challenging.

EMDR therapy offers a gentle, evidence-based way to help the mind and body process traumatic experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or intrusive.

EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to integrate and heal painful, traumatic, and stuck memories. You get to work at a pace that feels safe and manageable with your therapist.

In our latest blog post, we explore how EMDR works, what to expect in sessions, and how it can support healing from trauma, anxiety, grief, and chronic stress. Follow our link in bio to learn more.
