Cupid’s arrow struck Al and Stella 74 years ago, and it’s been love ever since! ❤️

At Atria Park of Vintage Hills, Marsha's apartment is a testament to her SoCal lifestyle.

Marsha, an accomplished swimmer, and her late husband, Jerry, both grew up in La Jolla, where Jerry loved surfing, fishing, sailing and diving.

"He was a Seabee in the Navy and served in Vietnam," Marsha shares. He courageously rescued four Marines from drowning while surfing. "It earned him consideration for a Purple Heart."

Marsha keeps his surfboard proudly displayed in her apartment – a reminder of their life together and the adventures they shared.

Now, Marsha is creating new memories of her own at Atria Park of Vintage Hills in the sunshine of Temecula.

Things got a little saucy at Atria Briarcliff Manor – pasta sauce, that is! Residents joined Chef Leah and her family for a hands-on lesson in making and jarring homemade pesto and red sauce. Each resident walked away with a jar of their own!

"I have to give a shout-out to all the residents," says Sous Chef Maria. "They did an amazing job making tomato sauce with Chef Leah."

Today, we celebrated the beauty of fall with our Harvest Tasting Table at Crystal View Lodge!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful selection of seasonal treats, including delicious pumpkin loaf and cupcakes. The festive fall decorations helped create a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly captured the spirit of the season.

It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to gather together, enjoy some tasty treats, share conversation, and appreciate the changing season. We always enjoy finding creative ways to celebrate the little things that make each season special.

Apollo, the monarch butterfly, took flight! 🧡🦋

The residents at Atria Center City raised Apollo from a tiny egg on a milkweed plant, watching as he went through the incredible journey: first into a hungry caterpillar, then a chrysalis and finally a beautiful butterfly.

Residents gathered around to say goodbye to Apollo as he was released into the wild.

We enjoyed BBQ brisket served with collard greens, mac and cheese and corn bread. And don’t forget about dessert – we had classic blackberry cobbler!

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a lovely tea party at Crystal View Lodge!

Our residents enjoyed an afternoon of wonderful conversation, good company, and a beautiful atmosphere. The room was thoughtfully decorated for the occasion, creating a warm and welcoming setting for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves.

It was wonderful to see everyone gathered together, sharing stories, catching up with friends, and making the most of a special afternoon. Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect with one another, and create lasting memories.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our tea party such a lovely occasion. We look forward to many more opportunities to gather and celebrate together!

“Engage Life means finding joy," says Sarah, an Engage Life Program Instructor at Atria Newport Beach. "It means making time for our residents who make me smile, even on hard days. It means being present and appreciating the moments I get to share with them. Getting to make those memories with them at this moment in life.”
Sarah was recently recognized as Employee of the Month, and it's easy to see why. Her passion and attention to residents' needs have made her indispensable to her team.

She shares that working in senior living has taught her an important life lesson: to slow down.

"It’s easy to get caught up in the rush of daily life and work. But when a resident calls you over and asks you to sit for a minute, everything shifts." Those little pauses help her refocus and remember the purpose behind what she does every day.

Sarah, thank you for reminding us that Engage Life isn’t just about what we plan or the places we go. It’s about being present, slowing down, laughing together and finding joy in the people right in front of us.

Bikers may seem tough, but have you ever met a biker’s grandma? 🏍️💪

Atria San Juan showed off its wild side with a visit from the Lifestyle Cycles Riding Group and Black Sheep Motorcycle Ministry For Christ. We had a fantastic time at our Great Tailgate Party!

Our residents came together for an afternoon filled with delicious barbecue, live music, and wonderful company. We were thrilled to have Paul Lattanzio providing the live entertainment, adding the perfect soundtrack to a fun and lively gathering.

We also embraced the tailgate spirit with plenty of flags and football-themed decorations throughout the celebration. From enjoying a great meal to listening to music and spending time with friends, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a great success. We love creating opportunities for our residents to come together, enjoy the season, and make lasting memories with one another.

A Day of Exploration at the Aviation and Space Museum!

Our residents had a wonderful time heading out for a special trip to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum! We enjoyed exploring the fascinating exhibits, admiring the incredible aircraft and learning more about the history of aviation and space exploration. There was plenty to see, talk about, and reminisce over along the way!

Of course, no outing would be complete without a sweet treat! After exploring the museum, we stopped by Kawartha Dairy for some delicious ice cream. It was the perfect way to wrap up a fun-filled day of adventure, laughter, and great company.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable outing possible! We always love creating opportunities for our residents to get out, explore the community, and make wonderful new memories together.

Celebrating Our August Birthdays!

What better way to celebrate our August birthdays than with a wonderful party filled with laughter, smiles, delicious cake, and great company!

This celebration was made even more special as we marked Sally’s very special 90th birthday. Reaching such an incredible milestone is certainly something to celebrate, and we were delighted to have Sally’s family join us for this memorable occasion.

We enjoyed delicious cake, shared happy memories, and, most importantly, celebrated together with the people who make these moments so meaningful.

A very happy 90th birthday to Sally, and warm birthday wishes to all of our August birthday celebrants! May the year ahead be filled with happiness, good health, and many more wonderful moments to cherish.

August 20th was a truly special day as we celebrated Atria’s 30th Anniversary!

We marked this incredible milestone with a wonderful lunch, a festive party, and plenty of heartfelt moments shared together. To celebrate three decades of memories, growth, friendship, and wisdom, we gifted beautiful pearl necklaces and invited everyone to share their own “Pearls of Wisdom.”

And what better way to make the celebration even more memorable than with live music? We were absolutely delighted to have the wonderfully talented Chas Diaz perform for us! His music added the perfect touch to an already unforgettable afternoon.

Here’s to 30 years of Atria, the incredible people who have been part of our journey, and all the wonderful memories still to come!
