🍂🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Bradgate Arms! 🧡

As we wrapped up Active Aging Week, we celebrated a wonderful week of staying active, connecting with one another, and embracing healthy aging here at Bradgate Arms!

Throughout the week, residents were encouraged to participate in a variety of programs and activities, with those completing seven programs earning an entry into our special prize draw! 🎉

We were delighted to recognize our three lucky challenge winners, each receiving a gift bag filled with goodies! 🎁👏

A special thank you to our wonderful returning entertainer, James Levac, who helped us conclude the week by presenting our winners with their prizes following his fantastic concert! 🎶

This Thanksgiving, we’re especially grateful for the friendships, laughter, enthusiasm, and sense of community that make Bradgate Arms such a special place.

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who participated! Wishing all our residents, families, and friends a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁

A beautiful afternoon exploring the Lassonde Art Trail at Biidaasige Park! 🎨🌿 Residents enjoyed a scenic walk along Toronto’s waterfront, discovering unique outdoor art installations while taking in the views of the city skyline. A wonderful way to experience art, nature, and our changing waterfront together! ☀️🏙️

☀️🌭 Welcome Home & End-of-Summer BBQ! 🎶

What a great way to celebrate the final barbecue of the summer season! We had a fantastic turnout for our Welcome Home Social, with a delicious BBQ, plenty of time to catch up, and wonderful live entertainment by Pierre. 🎤🎶

A Taste of Greece! 🇬🇷💙

Today’s International Diners Club took us to Greece with a delicious Greek luncheon from Karpusi Restaurant. From traditional flavours and Mediterranean favourites to great conversation around the table, it was a wonderful way to experience a little taste of Greek culture right here at Bradgate Arms.

An elegant afternoon out! 🫖✨

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea lunch at the Windsor Arms Hotel, featuring a special TIFF-inspired menu in celebration of the Toronto International Film Festival. Beautifully presented bites, classic afternoon tea, and great conversations made for a memorable afternoon in the city. 🎬☕🍰

Nine couples. 60 years of love. One very special celebration.

Green Falls Landing in Regina had the incredible honour of celebrating nine couples who have each reached an extraordinary milestone: 60 years of marriage!

Six decades together is a beautiful testament to love, partnership, friendship and all the memories made along the way. To mark this remarkable occasion, the Green Falls Landing team brought everyone together for a special celebration filled with laughter, stories, delicious treats and plenty of love.

We are so grateful to celebrate these incredible couples and the lives they have built together.

Green Falls Landing residents got a tour of Mosaic Stadium where the Saskatchewan Roughriders play. This was the first time our residents got to be on the turf and even got to run out of the tunnel like true players! Green really looks good on them!

Our last lobby concert before renovations commence was a special one as we gathered to celebrate our July birthdays at Bradgate Arms! 🎉🎶

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of live entertainment by Carl Stedmond, great company, and birthday cake as we recognized everyone celebrating this month.

There’s nothing quite like a day on the water to create lasting memories.

Residents from The Williamsburg in Burlington enjoyed a beautiful cruise along 16-Mile Creek thanks to the incredible team at CharterAbility, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing accessible recreational boating experiences at no cost for people of all ages facing physical limitations or other personal circumstances.

With perfect weather and an outstanding volunteer crew, the day was one to remember. A special highlight was watching resident Warren take the helm as captain, making the experience even more meaningful.

A milestone moment at Westney Gardens Retirement Residence!

On June 16, we proudly celebrated the official opening of our new Assisted Living floor with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony with Carol, the very first resident to move into the new space.

Designed with comfort, care, and community in mind, the new floor features 31 thoughtfully appointed suites, including both studio and one-bedroom layouts. Residents will benefit from convenient access to a modern nursing station and physician’s office. The floor also offers inviting spaces for residents to connect and engage, including a dedicated activity area, TV and reading lounges, and a bright, welcoming dining room.

This exciting expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care and creating vibrant communities where residents can age in place. Congratulations to the entire Westney Gardens team on this wonderful achievement!

At our residences, we are privileged to hear the stories and memories that fathers share every day. From raising families and building careers to serving their communities and supporting loved ones, their contributions have left a lasting impact.

This Father’s Day, we honour and thank all the remarkable men in our lives.

Glynnwood retirement residence in Ontario, made a resident’s 100th birthday extra special by working with the family to celebrate her birthday at the Blue Jays game. The Active Living Manager drove Clare and her family to the Jays game where they had a special day prepared for her. Joyful moments are happening at our residences across the country every day!

Centenarians make up just 0.03% of Canada’s population, making them a truly remarkable group. Recently, the team at Scenic Acres in Calgary had the honour of celebrating seven residents who are over 100 years old.

When asked their secret to a long life, they shared simple wisdom: eat well, stay active, work hard, and maintain a positive outlook. Their stories reflected lives filled with resilience, family, and community.

A special toast with ch*****ne and strawberry cake capped off a wonderful celebration of these extraordinary residents and their incredible legacies.

Maura brings kindness, compassion, creativity, and joy to our residents every single day, and we couldn’t be happier to see her recognized on a national stage. Her dedication to helping others shine is what makes her such a special part of the Sharon Corners community.
