A Little Gratitude Goes a Long Way!

This Thanksgiving, Chartwell Lansing residents came together to spread kindness and show appreciation for the everyday heroes in our community. They worked together to create heartfelt Thanksgiving cards and prepare homemade muffins and cookies for Fire Department Station 114 as a small way to say thank you for their dedication, courage, and service. Sometimes, the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share a little love, kindness, and homemade goodness with those who do so much for others.

A Delicious Montana’s BBQ Adventure!

Residents from Chartwell Lansing enjoyed a wonderful outing to Montana’s BBQ Restaurant, where they indulged in a delicious meal and enjoyed great conversation and company. From mouth-watering ribs and juicy steak to crispy fries and a variety of tasty sides, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The residents shared plenty of smiles and laughter while savouring their meals. It was a lovely opportunity to get out, enjoy a change of scenery, and create wonderful memories together!

What a summer!

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our residences and communities across the country, this year’s National Summer Fundraiser raised an amazing $170,000 for Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie!

Throughout the summer, residents, employees, families, and community members came together through creative events and activities, all with one goal in mind: helping grant meaningful wishes for seniors across Canada.

Thank you to everyone who organized an event, participated, donated, volunteered, or helped spread the word. This incredible result belongs to all of you.

Sushi Making Fun at Chartwell Lansing!

Residents had a wonderful time learning the art of sushi making with Irene, our Food Manager at Chartwell Lansing! From preparing the ingredients to rolling their very own sushi, everyone enjoyed getting hands-on, trying something new, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. We came together at Chartwell Lansing to commemorate Truth & Reconciliation by wearing Orange Shirts, painting Medicine Wheels, and creating Orange Shirt paper crafts. It was a meaningful opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect as a community while honouring the children and families affected by the residential school system and remembering that Every Child Matters.

Oktoberfest at Chartwell Lansing!

Prost! The residents of Chartwell Lansing had a wonderful time celebrating Oktoberfest with friends and family! The afternoon was filled with lively accordion music, delicious food, refreshing b**r, and plenty of dancing. Residents also got creative by making their own alpine hats, and posing for picture with props adding a fun and festive touch to the celebration. With laughter, music, and great company all around, everyone enjoyed a memorable Oktoberfest filled with friendship, fun, and wonderful memories!

Rosh Hashanah Celebration

We gathered together to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, in a warm and meaningful ceremony. One of our residents led the prayer, creating a special moment of reflection and togetherness. We enjoyed traditional foods and symbols of the holiday, including apples dipped in honey, challah bread, pomegranate, and grape juice. It was a lovely celebration filled with sweetness, joy, and good wishes for the year ahead.

Baking Up a Sweet New Year!

Rosh Hashanah was filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious smell of freshly baked challah! Our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative in the kitchen, mixing, kneading, braiding, and baking beautiful challahs together. 🥖✨

With every braid and every bite, we celebrated the joy of new beginnings and shared wishes for a sweet, happy, and healthy year ahead! What better way to welcome Rosh Hashanah than with good company, great memories, and a little sweetness straight from the oven?
