Meet Mike, our Environmental Services Manager at Forestview Retirement Residence!
For the past two years, Mike has been an important part of the Forestview team, supporting residents, families, and staff through his leadership in Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance.
Mike was drawn to senior living because he has always enjoyed helping others. Today, he helps keep Forestview clean, safe, welcoming, and comfortable while ensuring resident concerns and building needs are handled with care and attention.
One of Mike’s core values is simple but meaningful: every resident should be treated like they’re a family member. This philosophy guides the way he approaches his work each day and reflects his commitment to providing exceptional care and service.
Mike also believes strongly in building connections within the community. He makes it a priority to acknowledge every resident with a hello, smile, and wave each day, helping create the warm and welcoming environment that Forestview is known for. Whether he is attending community events, supporting open houses, or simply connecting with residents throughout the day, Mike brings kindness, respect, and positivity to every interaction.
His words of wisdom remind us what senior living is all about:
´Families put their trust in us to take care of their loved ones. Remember, we are working guests in their home. Treat residents and their home with respect and kindness. ´
Mike also shares what he loves most about working in senior living:
´Working in the retirement community is extremely rewarding. I am grateful to have the opportunity to make every resident feel at home.´
Outside of work, Mike enjoys golfing and spending time with his large family. He also played high-level baseball for 20 years and spent part of his childhood in New Brunswick while his father served in the armed forces.
We are grateful to have Mike as part of the Forestview team and appreciate the care, teamwork, positivity, and dedication he brings to our community every day.
