Highlights from our first ever birding event last week with ÜNDA TRAIL.
An extension of the culture we’ve built through trail running, this gave us a reason to slow down, pay attention and experience the Don Valley a little differently.
On an early Wednesday morning, a big crew came out to hike the trails and learn more about the birds moving through their Spring migration. guided the group through the valley, helping people listen, spot and identify species along the way.
What made the morning special wasn’t just the birding though — it was seeing the wider community show up. Familiar run club faces alongside partners, kids, trail-curious friends, first-time birders and longtime enthusiasts all sharing the same space.
A reminder that the trails don’t only have to be a place to push pace or chase distance. They can also be a place to slow down, connect and notice more of what’s around us.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this thing together:
