Because of YOU, HeartLinks raised $13,148 at this year’s We Walk UHNited presented by Rogers!

Not only did our incredible supporters help us place 5th amongst the Community Fundraising Teams, but together we also surpassed last year’s total of $12,627, an amazing milestone that reflects the growing impact of this community.

We are so grateful to everyone who:

✨ shared our mission
✨ supported & encouraged us
✨ volunteered

Most importantly, these funds will help support patients and families at UHN and contribute to life changing care and research that impacts so many lives, including ours.

This year’s We Walk UHNited raised more than $1 million through the collective efforts of all those who participated, donated and supported this amazing event.

Our very own HeartLinks member and volunteer, Rita Spiteri has been featured in The Globe and Mail Business section, and her story is one worth celebrating.

Rita is a heart transplant recipient who continues to turn her second chance at life into purpose. For the second year in a row, she has raised the highest funds for Team HeartLinks for the We Walk UHNited taking place Saturday, May 30.

This community walk supports the University Health Network hospitals, helping fund research, innovation, and patient care across all areas of the hospital system that save lives every single day.

From transplant journey to leadership in our community, Rita continues to show what resilience, gratitude, and giving back truly look like.
