Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “I give myself permission to pause”
✍🏼
The days are longer and warmer now. We have so much to accomplish in what feels like a season that is always fleeting. This is the perfect time to overwork, overcommit and burn yourself out. It’s also the perfect time to observe the life that is bursting at the surface; the flowers budding and the leaves unraveling.
This week I invite you to be mindful of when you need to pause. Take the moment to observe nature unfolding around you. Pause. Breathe. Repeat when needed.
Each week a new prompt will be available to ponder and journal on.

As with most things, intention is impactful 🌲

From the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance :
“As interest in nature continues to expand worldwide, so does the conversation about how people engage with natural environments. Research increasingly suggests that simply being near nature may not always lead to the same outcomes for everyone. Factors such as intention, guidance, accessibility, and consistency can influence the experience.

This growing body of evidence is encouraging a broader exploration of structured, ethical, and evidence-informed nature-based approaches that support meaningful engagement across diverse populations and settings.

Forest Therapy is one example of how intentional engagement with nature is being integrated into wellbeing, education, and community contexts around the world. 🌿”

A few weeks ago we volunteered to help them (🧚) build some of the fun and it was so exciting to see everyone’s hard work come to life in the forest! If you’re in the Colchester area this weekend, go check it out! An easy trail to walk and a fun time for all. and a few … What could be more fun?

Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “In what situations, or with whom, do I bend against my true nature?”
✍🏼
A tree bends with the storm and resets once it’s over. If storms are persistent however, it starts to grow accordingly; adapting to the stress. We are not so different.
This week I invite you to pay attention to when you are bending to a situation in such a way to compromise, or when you are bending and compromising yourself.
Each week a new prompt will be available to ponder and journal on.

"Gardening not only has a place in mental health but also can serve as a buffer against serious psychological challenges." (Lane, 2026)
A quick read.

Gardening is much more than a frivolous activity. Research shows that engaging in horticultural activities can have significant mental health benefits.

Mindful moment. Don’t have the time to “just sit around” out in Nature? Sounds like you sure need it.

Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “What expectations of perfection can I let go of?”
✍🏼
Nature isn’t perfect. Trees and natural plantings aren’t in perfect rows, standing obediently in organized behaviour. It’s beautiful, naturalized, thriving chaos. It is us. We are it. Why expect more from yourself?
This week take a look at the messy, chaotic parts of your life that you keep wishing were “perfect”. Make an organized list. Then give yourself some grace and allow a little more naturalization into your days.
Each week a new prompt will be available to ponder and journal on.
