Because sometimes… you need to break from studying.

No, I mean it! Rest is actually really productive when you allow it to be a reset. I know it can be tough not to feel guilty… but I am officially assigning “rest breaks” as your homework for this week.

In case you were wondering….

My salesperson licensing exam is coming up fast, and I’m wrapped up in the final weeks of study. I am still practicing my yoga, walking my dog and teaching through it all. And hopefully in the very near future - you’ll start seeing my name on some real estate signage 😉

Happy Labour Day folks! See you on the mat on Wednesday 💜

Someone asked me recently why I post so many pictures of everyday life on a yoga page instead of, well… yoga poses.

And I thought it was a really good question.

The simple answer is: because the poses aren’t really the point.

Yoga, for me, is about learning to exist a little more fully inside your own body. To notice what’s happening. To sit with discomfort sometimes. To get curious instead of immediately needing to change something. To keep coming back — not because you’re trying to perfect the practice, but because every time you come back, you might learn something new about yourself.

And then you take that with you when you leave the mat.

I could set up a camera and take beautiful photos of the more impressive poses I can do. But honestly, that doesn’t feel much like my yoga.

My yoga happens in real time. It’s me checking in with my body. It’s holding space for other people to do the same. And it’s all the ordinary life that happens afterward — walking the dog on the beach, spending time with people I love, navigating hard things, noticing beautiful things, and trying to actually be present for my own life.

Also. Someone once told me that people want to know the person who’s going to be leading them, too.

So that’s what you’ll see here.

A little yoga. A little life. A lot of ordinary moments.

Because the practice was never really about how the pose looked anyway.

When did your hips get that stiff?
When did sneezing become a calculated risk?

Our bodies change as we move through life — but that doesn’t mean we stop exploring what they’re capable of.

This practice is about getting curious about how your body moves, reconnecting with your deep core and pelvic floor, and building strength and mobility from the inside out.

Yes, we talk about the leaks.
We also talk about breath, balance, hips, backs, core strength, tension, mobility, and all the little ways our bodies compensate without us even realizing it.

No chasing flexibility. No fancy poses. Just slow, intentional movement and a chance to get to know the body you’re living in a little better.

Some of my Yarmouth folks have been asking when Pelvic Floor + Core Yoga is coming back, and I’m wondering if it might be time for a little trial run at the Port Maitland Fire Hall.

Same practice. New location. And maybe a new name…

Farts happen. 🤷‍♀️ Give yourself permission to keep going with your practice. No one else is paying attention to the sounds your body makes.
