They're always surprised. I'm not. Well, not always ...not anymore but I'm always so happy to hear it!
Somebody comes in barely able to get off the table on their own, and a few days later they're texting me like something inexplicable happened. And I get it — when you've been living with back pain for months, having it let go feels like a trick.

But I've been doing this about ten years now. I see it most weeks. Not every time, not with everyone, and I'll tell you honestly if I don't think I can help. But often enough that I've stopped being surprised by it.

Back pain is the reason most people first walk through my door. Usually they've already tried a few things. Usually they're not sure this will work either. That's fine. You don't have to believe in it for me to have a look.

The garden looks fantastic, but your back has filed a complaint.
Every July, the same thing — people finally get the yard sorted and then can't stand up straight for a week. Sometimes that includes ME! The sun's out, and we do toooo much and then pay for it.

🇨🇦 Somewhere off Yarmouth, 1948. The Boston boat steaming past Cape Forchu — the old light, years before they rebuilt it — and back then, July 1st was still Dominion Day.
Some things change. Main street, boats, people, and some things don't. People around here have always worked hard, and their bodies have always paid for it.

End-of-lobster-season recovery. LFA 33/34 wraps at the end of the month. The final stretch is when bodies are most beat up — shoulders, wrists, hands that don't fully unclench anymore, low backs from months on a pitching deck.
