What goes into making a hair topper look realistic and natural.

They see the final result, but they don’t see the colour work, the toning, the blending, the cutting, the softening, the little adjustments, and the hours of looking at every piece of hair thinking, “Nope… not yet.”

This topper didn’t come out of the box ready to wear. I had to create the colour, soften the tone, build the dimension, and make it believable. Because believable is everything.

A topper can be beautiful, but if the colour is off, the density is wrong, the blend is too harsh, or the finish looks stiff, people will notice. My job is to make sure they don’t.

They should only see beautiful hair.

That’s the work behind the scenes. That’s the difference between wearing hair and feeling like yourself in it.

From the moment he sat in my chair, I could see it. The presence. The style. The quiet confidence. The kind that does not need attention to command it.

He naturally has very little grey, but he wanted a little more silver through the top, Just enough to give him that refined, distinguished, GQ-inspired look that felt completely right on him.

And honestly, it suited him flawlessly.

After almost 30 years in the hair industry, I still get excited when a client has a vision and trusts me enough to bring it to life.

This was one of those pieces I opened and instantly knew it was going to be special. The colour, the tone, the feeling of it. I could already see how it was going to suit him before it was even applied.

After a few days, I texted him just to check up to see how he was doing, and I love that he took a selfie because he felt that good in it! Boy that made me smile! 😉
