We believe our employees are our strength. We are fortunate to have on our team, wonderful people who are compassionate, caring and highly professional. Everyone has a role, and ultimately their only goal is looking after our residents, ensuring their safety, and making sure they and their families feel confident in us. We know that moves are difficult for anyone, and more so for seniors, so it’s

important to make the process as simple as possible. There are many retirement homes for seniors, so we also know that in order to remain competitive our standards need to be high, and our prices reasonable. We’re looking to the future. We understand that we must continue developing new programs and innovations for a senior population that is growing and changing by the week. It’s an exciting time for seniors. The choices have never been better and the variety of services is constantly improving.

Dufferin Care Centre marked National Doughnut Day with a sweet celebration. DCC’s Moment Makers savoured doughnuts from the European Bakery — who can resist a sugary treat?

Observed on the first Friday in June, the day honors the Salvation Army’s “Doughnut Lassies,” who served doughnuts and a comforting taste of home to soldiers during WWI.

Waverly Seniors Village wrapped up Seniors Week with a Show ’n’ Shine grand finale — food trucks and an Elvis performance made it a memorable celebration. A huge thank-you to the local Tim Hortons, Bob Chan-Kent Family YMCA, Starbucks, London Drugs, Save-On-Foods, Crystal Vision, and Cookies Grill for their generous donations. While the roof is being replaced, Guildford Seniors Village has moved its garden plants indoors to keep them safe!

Indoor gardening gives residents light, low-impact physical activity, stimulates cognitive engagement, eases stress, and strengthens a sense of purpose and community.

Staff and volunteers run these sessions to support meaningful social connection and overall wellbeing throughout the renovation period.

We hosted dozens of community partners, families, seniors, and professionals at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village for our annual Resource Fair during Seniors Week. After months of planning and teamwork, we turned our community into a hub for connection, learning, and support!

Our residents’ everyday care extends beyond Rosemary Heights through the relationships we build. White Rock council member Susan Bains, and many local partners joined us to show their support.

Together we didn’t just host a fair—we forged connections, strengthened our community, and made a difference. Here’s to an even bigger, better event next year!
