Learning about quality improvement is serious work. It can also be a lot of fun.
The current Quality Academy cohort recently welcomed a special guest: Hank, Quality Academy faculty member Andrea’s puppy. As you can see, he took his responsibilities very seriously.
Quality Academy brings people together from across BC’s health care system to build practical skills in quality and safety improvement. Over six months, participants learn from expert instructors, work with dedicated mentors and apply what they learn to a real project in their own workplace.
Along the way, they build connections, share ideas and work alongside others who care about making care better. Hank, it turns out, is a natural at the community-building part.
That mix of practical learning, shared purpose and supportive community is a big part of what makes Quality Academy special.
Applications for the next cohort are now open. Apply by August 21, 2026.
