📊 Case study: Investigating collagen injections on sun-induced skin aging

A clinical study published in the World Journal of Clinical Cases (2024) investigated type I collagen injections in participants showing visible signs of photoaging.

Skin-related parameters were assessed objectively using the DermaLab ultrasound probe.

Using high-frequency ultrasound, the study measured skin thickness and density and provided cross-sectional visualizations of the epidermis and dermis over the study period.🔬

📈 Results showed:
- Measured increases in dermal thickness
- Measured changes in skin density

The study highlights how objective ultrasound measurements can be used to document structural skin-related changes within a research setting.

A huge thank you to our valued partner Kriomol in Hungary and editor Balázs Molnár for this beautiful film.🙏

Shot across Denmark, it captures the quiet moments that remind us why skin matters. The nature, the light, the people we share our lives with.

Because skin tells more than we think.

At Cortex, that is what drives everything we do.🩶

Real skin. Real data. Real results.

At Mia Szabó's beauty clinic in Hungary, DermaLab Aesthetic is an integral part of the professional skin analysis routine.🔬

In this case, the clinic documented the skin condition of a 53-year-old woman, measuring selected skin parameters before and after a treatment course.

After 14 days, the results spoke for themselves. A significant improvement in skin hydration and an improved skin pH balance compared to baseline.✨

With DLA, clinics can integrate objective measurements seamlessly into their workflow, elevating both professional documentation and client communication.

This is what science-backed skin care looks like in practice.

Sun, summer and SPF
Did you know that the sun's rays can affect the elasticity of the skin by breaking down collagen?
With the right skin analysis, we can document the condition of the skin and give you personal advice for better protection.

A small effort today can make a big difference in the long run 💛
Remember the sunscreen!
