This gorgeous boy reminded me that an animal communication session can be just as healing for the animal in spirit as it is for their human on Earth, especially if their soul really struggled to leave their person as he did, and he was also worried about his doggy best friend he left behind. He felt so much lighter and content after getting things off his chest which was just lovely 🥰

He also reminded me that animals (like people) can take a while to open up (and trust a stranger!) enough to show you more than surface level stuff, as our conversation got deeper as we went along, as he trusted me more.
This is one of the reasons I love giving energy healing before a communication, as aside from all the other health benefits it also builds trust and so the animal feels happier to open up.

With this gorgeous boy I was offering him energy healing and as he was nervous I let him fully guide me and I didn’t expect any messages to come through so soon, but once he started to trust me the messages started to flow and he settled into the session so beautifully! 🤍

Energy healing & intuitive massage is perfect for helping horses with a multitude of health challenges as we are treating the whole horse holistically - body, mind & spirit ✨

Energy healing is non-invasive and yet can have transformational benefits - perfect for horses with problems where you just don’t know where to start!

For my horse who had complex health challenges, including kissing spines, an old DDFT injury weakness, equine asthma and generalised muscle pain from holding himself together so tightly for so long (which also comes with a host of anxieties and pain memory) - a combination of reiki, light intuitive massage and acupuncture was his perfect combination.

How did I know this? Two ways – the results after each session – the physical results, and also how he seemed mentally too – he always seemed lighter and more content. But secondly, I always looked at how he responded during sessions. he LOVED these treatments, was super relaxed and sometimes I even got a little massage from him (with teeth!) too ♥️

✨How can two equine therapies complement each other and have transformational results for the horse? 🤩

Two examples are:

🤸 combining energy healing with physio as part of a rehab plan for kissing spines can help the horse heal better and faster by clearing any stuck energy linked to the back, calm the nervous system so the connective tissue stops bracing and decreasing pain and inflammation – allowing the physio’s exercises to have the best possible results - continuing and enhancing the healing of the horse’s body

💆‍♀️ combining energy healing with massage for tight or sore muscles can help the body feel safe enough to let go, open up more, and clear the stuck emotions that manifested the soreness in the body – so the massage can more effectively physically release tension and help repair muscles and tissue.
I will usually not give massage until session two with a horse or if it’s in the first session I will always start with energy healing. The massage I do is intuitively-led and I also include lighter movements that are fantastic at softening fascia and releasing trauma from the tissue.

Better together 🤗

The power of the holistic approach!

I’ve come to realise lately how much energy healing modalities and therapies focusing solely on the physical complement each other so well as it’s a 2-pronged holistic approach that can have the best lasting results.

I don’t feel it matters too much which therapy is given first to treat a current ailment in a horse, but if I had the choice I would opt for energy healing before a more hands-on mechanical approach as it is so calming and non-invasive and also sets up the perfect environment for healing to commence and continue - whether that be alongside physio, osteo, chiro etc

Should you choose energy healing for your horse? (And you) 🤷🏻‍♀️

There’s no doubt in my mind how amazing energy healing is - as it heals the root cause of a (physical or emotional) ailment. It does this by clearing any blocked energy/ unprocessed emotions (e.g. a traumatic event, grief etc) that have then manifested in the physical body and nervous system as illness, injury, or emotional/behavioural challenges.

Energy healing can be transformational - but combining therapies can be the perfect holistic approach to cover all bases for your horse and have the best results!

✨Simple ways for horse guardians to cultivate relaxation and healing for you and your horse ✨

- take a few breaths by yourself first - feel your feet on the ground and notice your surroundings. Bring to your mind what/who brings you joy and peace in your life and smile. You could put your hand on your heart too

Next:
- Lay your hands on your horse and just be present, focus on your breathing for a few minutes and see what you feel - do you feel them relax a little more? is there a peacefulness in them or you, or both? You might even receive a message from them!

This is really beneficial to do inbetween energy healing sessions as you are ‘holding space’ for your horse (and yourself!) and allowing you both to drop into your parasympathetic nervous system to enable relaxation and healing to take place

✨Bringing fun and lightness and our inner child to every day life and to energy healing ✨

I learnt through to bring in what you love the most and what makes you smile as you’re working with divine healing energy, and although so simple, this is so effective when giving an energy healing session.

When I work with people sometimes they might laugh during a session, especially at the beginning and that’s more than ok - laughing helps you to relax! Similarly with horses sometimes they decide they want me to give them a bum scratch or scratch their head on me as I’m giving them healing and that shows me their playfulness and that they are not afraid to have a voice and opinion and I love that! It’s so important to be in the moment with whatever comes forward at that time.

Current ways I’m embracing and nurturing my inner child are when I’m grooming (as little me wouldn’t rush this task as adult me might), when cuddling and playing with my cats and when I’m in my garden connecting to my 10 trees!
