Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week, and our HR team organised an activity each day to help us prioritise our wellbeing. 💚

From playing Headspace Bingo and wearing green, to a sunny team walk complete with ice cream treats, we had a few minutes each day to connect, talk, and take a well-deserved breather together. 🍦

A massive thank you to everyone who took part and to our fabulous HR team for highlighting the importance of good mental health.

Slips, trips, and same-level falls are the single most common cause of non-fatal workplace injury in the UK.

❌ Not because of complex hazards or rare events. Just everyday risks that get ignored.

Here are some of the latest statistics from the HSE and RIDDOR:

⚠️ 90% of slips occur on wet or contaminated surfaces.
⚠️ 75% of trips are caused by obstructions (the remaining 25% by uneven surfaces).
⚠️ An average of 8.5 working days are lost per worker after a slip, trip, or fall injury.

The good news is that most of these incidents are entirely preventable.

While good housekeeping can prevent the majority of trips, wet surfaces require a more proactive approach. Implementing basic anti-slip solutions such as tape, mats, stair treads, and clear safety warnings can instantly reduce the risk of slips.
