The Kiltwalk was yesterday. If you’re feeling it today, this is for you.

First of all - well done! That’s a serious amount of miles on your legs, and you should be proud of every single one of them 🙌

Now, let’s talk about what your body actually needs right now.

The temptation after an event like that is to either push straight back into normal activity or do absolutely nothing.

What actually helps:
🧘 keep moving, but gently. A short walk, some light mobilisation, nothing that loads the legs heavily.
🍳 protein at every meal. Your muscles are repairing, so give them what they need to do it.
🚰 electrolytes. You’ll have lost more than you think. Replacing them speeds up how quickly you feel human again.
😴 sleep. More than usual if you can manage. This is where the real recovery happens.

And if something specific is bothering you - a knee, a hip, a foot that doesn’t feel quite right - don’t just wait and see. It’s much easier to address something early than to manage it once it becomes a pattern.
