UHub Counselling, CBT, holistic and creative therapies for adults, teens and children, in North Down. Promoting emotional wellbeing, balance and contentment.

(Our opening hours are for our office. Counselling is from 9am-8:3pm Mon to Thur and 9am-3pm on Fri). We are a fresh thinking and innovative social enterprise in North Down. Our uHub will provide a space for talking therapies, life coaching, CBT and also holistic therapies and yoga which will provide a complement to our talking work. Our mission is to provide an exceptional service, with a multi-d

isciplinary approach to emotional health and well-being. Profits generated through our activities can be used to subsidise therapies in some cases, for people in need in our community. Feel free to contact us to see if we might be able to help. You can be sure that by taking time to help yourself, you are in turn helping someone in need in your local community. We have a reception area where our clients can make a cup of tea and relax before their sessions, and browse through our mini library full of inspiring books. We see uHub as having something for everyone, from small children right through to adults. All our counsellors are members of BACP and adhere to their ethical guidelines. We provide a safe and confidential environment where feelings can be explored. We work from an integrated approach, psychodynamic/person centred which we tailor to meet the needs of each individual so they can get the best possible service and experience from their counselling. We aim to offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental way of working, which is focused around your needs. By talking and understanding your current situation, and often your past, it is hoped that your presenting issues can be greatly improved. Our clients are offered an initial assessment where counsellor and client will work in collaboration to agree an approach for the work. We can help with a wide range of issues for example, dealing with depression, abuse, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, relationship and work related issues, self-esteem, stress and phobic anxieties, OCD, intrusive thoughts, ASD and general counselling. At uHub we also have a wealth of experience working with children and young people including those with ASD, ADHD and behavioural problems. Our approach can be tailored to include creative therapies, CBT and systemic practice. Give us a ring to chat through how we work and how we might be able to help you.

We have space become available for Equine Facilitated Therapy 🐴 These are for adults and older teens, and will be on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at The Cotton Farm just outside Bangor.

Equine therapy is really helpful for:

🐴 Regulating the nervous system, offering relaxation and calming

🐴 Reducing anxiety and depression

🐴 Improving feelings of connectedness

🐴 Working through difficult past experiences

🐴 Building self esteem and resilience

🐴 Helping with over thinking and perfectionist tendencies

🐴 Relationship challenges

We can also work with a parent and teen together which can be really amazing, to support better mutual understanding, respect, and communication.

Equine therapy sessions cost £50 for a teen or adult, or £65 for parent teen sessions. Ideally you would attend for 6 sessions at minimum, but many people chose to attend much longer due the benefits they experience.

Please go to our website and complete the referral form under "Therapy" and put in the comments box that you would like Equine therapy.

Spaces are limited.

Thank you so much to Asda for the match funding to support the fundraiser which Pam had organised! This means so much to our In Touch With Autism programme and allows us to be able to provide a summer schemes for the groups involed in this progranme!

It was great to be able to present Amanda from Uhub Therapy Centre with a cheque for £250 from Asda Foundation's Match Funding Scheme.

Pam, who's been George Colleague here at Bangor for 20 years, held a sponsored walk from Pickie Funpark to Helen's Bay Beach, some four miles, to raise money for the In Touch with Autism project run by Uhub.

Pam and fellow participants battled through rain to raise a whooping £1,157 and with Asda Foundation's extra £250 the full total came to £1,407!

Pam felt empowered to act as her daughter attends the In Touch with Autism group and Pam had only set out to raise £100 so was blown away by the support shown by her friends and family in raising 10 times that much.

Amanda said that without this fundraising organised by Pam and without everyone who donated they would not have been able to run Summer Scheme for their four groups, over 40 service users, this year. The Summer Schemes were to be axed this due to a lack of funding, but now can go ahead which has delighted everyone involved
