Today, Hayley was lucky enough to visit the Schiaparelli exhibition at the V&A, courtesy of AHM, a fellow Beaconsfield independent business.

Elsa Schiaparelli challenged the boundaries between art and fashion, transforming everyday pieces into extraordinary works of art.

Different industries, yet the same appreciation for artistry, craftsmanship and exceptional design 👓

We give so much consideration to our watches, handbags, jewellery and wardrobes. Yet the accessory sitting in the centre of our face is so often an afterthought.

Still thinking about Paris 🇫🇷

Fashion Week is where we discover what’s next. Time with the exceptional brands we already represent, private previews of new collections, and the chance to seek out the pieces you won’t find everywhere else.

We came home with exciting plans, new collections on the way, and a few things we’re keeping under wraps for now 👀

At CBTR, nothing is chosen simply to fill the shelves. Every piece has to earn its place through exceptional design, craftsmanship, quality and rarity.

2027 is shaping up to be our most exciting year yet, with more exclusivity, more exceptional eyewear and a few surprises still to come.

The secret’s out… 🥹🏆

We’ve been shortlisted for not one, not two, but THREE Optician Awards at the 2026 ceremony this December:

To be recognised across three categories feels pretty surreal, especially for our little independent practice.

But CBTR is so much more than just me. I’m unbelievably grateful to work alongside these wonderful women every day. Not only my colleagues, but genuinely two of my close friends.

They care about CBTR, our clients and everything we’re building just as much as I do, and I simply couldn’t do it without them ❤️

5 eye health tips every optometrist wants you to know.

Eyecare deserves a place in your daily routine too.

From heated eye treatments to the skincare and eyelash serums you use around your eyes, it’s worth giving your routine a little thought.

The right approach should be personal to you. We can help you find yours 👁️

School screening is a valuable safety net, but it doesn’t determine your child’s prescription or provide a full eye health examination.

Book their first routine eye examination around age three or four, sooner if you have any concerns.

Children don’t need to be able to read letters on a chart, and you don’t need to wait for them to mention a problem 👁️

Sunglasses aren’t just a summer accessory. UV protection matters in winter too.

Polarised lenses reduce reflected glare, particularly helpful on wet roads when the winter sun sits low.

UV protection and polarisation do different jobs, so choose lenses that offer both.

Myopia (short-sightedness) often starts between age 6 and 13, several years after school screening.

Specialist myopia control glasses and contact lenses can help slow its progression while keeping your child’s vision clear.

At CBTR, OCT shows the layers of the retina in detail, while Optomap captures a wide view of the back of the eye. Together, they support our thorough eye health checks.

The story behind Optomap is particularly meaningful: Optos founder Douglas Anderson developed the technology after his five-year-old son lost sight in one eye following an undetected retinal detachment.

We include Optomap imaging in children’s eye examinations too. Because little eyes deserve thoughtful, thorough care.
