💙 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲.

Sometimes, the people who seem happiest, strongest, or most positive may be struggling with things we know nothing about.

That’s why checking in matters.

If someone doesn’t seem quite themselves, take a moment to ask how they’re really feeling. You don’t need to have all the answers, and you don’t need to try to fix everything.

Ask. Listen. Give them your time. Let them know they’re not alone.

A genuine conversation, without judgement or pressure, can give someone the space they need to talk about what they’re going through.

And if you’re struggling, please reach out. Asking for help can be difficult, but you do not have to face things alone.

📞 Samaritans: 116 123

Free to call, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Today is an important reminder, but looking out for one another shouldn’t be limited to an awareness day.

Keep checking in. Keep listening. Keep the conversation going. 💙

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭

Good home care isn't simply about filling a time slot. 💙

It's about understanding the individual and making sure the support they receive reflects their needs, routines, preferences and personality. 🏡

That means looking beyond availability and thinking carefully about the people we bring together.
💙 Skills matter.
🌟 Experience matters.
🤝 Trust matters.
💬 Communication matters.
❤️ And human connection matters.

Because the right care isn't just about when someone arrives.
It's about who walks through the door.

𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫.

When a PBL Care team member arrives at someone's home, that's only one part of the care journey.

Behind every visit is planning, communication, coordination and a team working to make sure the right support is there at the right time.

Because dependable home care doesn't happen by accident.

It takes people working together behind the scenes so that, at the front door, the focus can be exactly where it should be: on the individual. 💙

🏆 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦.
We’re incredibly proud to share that PBL Care has been named a finalist in THREE categories at the Leaders in Care Awards 2026! 🎉

✨ Innovation in Home Care – PBL Care
✨ Home Care Provider of the Year (Independent) – PBL Care
✨ Leader of the Future (Home Care) – Qasim Bata, PBL Care

To be recognised across three categories is a fantastic achievement and reflects the passion, innovation and commitment to outstanding care that runs throughout PBL Care.

We’re especially proud to see our Director, Qasim Bata, individually recognised as a Leader of the Future, an achievement that reflects his commitment to innovation, leadership and continually driving PBL Care forward.

This recognition also reflects the leadership and dedication of Mohammed Lalji, who, alongside Qasim, continues to guide and develop PBL Care while ensuring that quality, compassion and the people we support remain at the heart of everything we do.

A huge thank you to our entire team, our service users, their families and everyone who continues to support PBL Care. 💙

Now we look forward to the awards in October! 🏆

☀️ 𝐀 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.

With the warm weather continuing, it's important to remember that higher temperatures can have a greater impact on older people and those who may be more vulnerable.

A few simple things can help:

💧 Keep drinking regularly throughout the day
🏡 Keep rooms cool and close curtains when the sun is strongest
👕 Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
☀️ Avoid spending too long outside during the hottest part of the day
📞 Check in on older relatives, friends and neighbours

And don't underestimate the difference a small gesture can make, offering a cold drink or simply checking that someone is comfortable could be just what they need.

At PBL Care, the wellbeing of the people we support always comes first. 💙

At PBL Care, we believe great care is about getting to know the person behind the support, building trusted relationships, encouraging independence and ensuring every individual is treated with dignity, compassion and respect.

It means understanding what matters to each person, respecting their choices and routines, and providing personalised support that enables them to continue living life in the way that feels right for them.

Because sometimes, it's the smallest things that make the biggest difference.

Every situation is different, and it’s important to understand the correct response if the initial steps don’t resolve the blockage.

In Stage 2, Tulsa demonstrates the next part of the choking response, reinforcing safe techniques and best practice.
