Care UK's luxurious new care home Ladden View, in Yate provides individually tailored care in luxurious surroundings. The home offers a full range of care services, from permanent residential and dementia care to short-term respite care. Each of the bedrooms at Ladden View are beautifully furnished, individually decorated and have its own en-suite wet room. The home also has a coffee shop, cinema room and hair and beauty salon, as well as extensive gardens and outdoor spaces.

National Cheese Day🧀

Another fantastic afternoon today at Ladden View. Pollyanna hosted a delicious looking Cheese & Wine Tasting session, for our lovely residents.

We enjoyed a selection of cheeses, crackers and chutneys, and paired them with some delicious wines that compliment the cheeses🧀🍷

Our residents had a fantastic afternoon and enjoyed something a little different but very tasty and enjoyable. Making memories for our residents is our favourite thing to do❤️

Happy World Bicycle Day🚴🏻

This morning Pollyanna, our Lifestyle Lead, hosted a “bicycle themed” seated exercise class to celebrate World Bicycle Day🚴🏻

We immersed ourselves in the virtual beauty of German mountains and rivers whilst using our bike pedalers to imagine we were cycling through the hills🚴🏻⛰️

Our residents absolutely loved this mornings seated exercise class and found the virtual experience of cycling through mountains fantastic⛰️

Seated exercise is extremely important and introducing bike pedalers offer a safe, low impact way to improve cardiovascular health, enhances circulation and builds lower body strength. As they are used whilst in a seated position, they minimise the risk of falling, making the pedalers ideal for individuals who struggle with joint pain, arthritis or those who have limited mobility.

We of course, had to finish our class with a sing song and boogie to none other than ABBA💃🪩

Happy Dancing💃🎶

This afternoon we welcomed the wonderful Lauren from Flourish Dance to host a seated and standing dance class for our lovely residents of Ladden View🎶

Lauren hosted a May Pole themed dance class this afternoon which went down a hit! With props and music, the residents had a fantastic time learning how to Morris Dance around the Maypole💃

Lauren hosts fun, safe and engaging classes which supports social, emotional and physical wellbeing. Her classes are designed for all abilities, including those living with dementia. The smiles in our residents’ faces say it all😄

We finished our dance class with refreshing ice lollies and our Head Chef, Jamie’s famous WaterADE jelly pots, which all went down a treat🍦🍧

Firemen’s Car Wash🚒🧽

This afternoon we popped by our friends at Yate Fire Station to support their Charity Car Wash in aid of “The Fire Fighters Charity” and let them wash our minibus🚒🔥🧽

We are so lucky to have created such positive relationships with our blue-light teams. It was only right to take time out of our day to show our support to them, as they often stop by and create meaningful moments for our lovely residents✨

Thank you to the brilliant team at Yate Firefighters for a great afternoon, it’s always a pleasure to see you❤️

Happy World Cocktail Day🍹

This afternoon, our lovely residents of Ladden View got creative, making their own signature mocktails to enjoy🍓🍋‍🟩🍋🫐

We had a selection of different fruit juices, cordials and a delicious array of fruit to choose from, allowing the residents to let their creativity flourish🍹

Only thing we were missing was the sun, but we replaced it with a sing song to ABBA and spirits were through the roof, singing, dancing and having a great afternoon with fantastic company🎶

Offering a combination of sensory stimulation and social engagement, making mocktails is a great activity, which improves the intake of fluids while providing a fun and simulating experience. As well as this, being able to choose your ingredients and garnishes encourages creativity and mental activity.🍓🍋
