H writes, "I felt for years that I would benefit from counselling, but was afraid of how deeply it may affect me. It’s hard dealing with hurts from your past.

Ian made me feel comfortable and understood. Having him listen, share his experiences and give me practical advice on how to move forward was beneficial.

Being able to freely discuss how I was feeling (and why I was feeling that way) helped me make the decisions that would free me from past hurt and fear."

Thank you for helping me overcome my issues and always being a listening ear.

D. Duncan says, "There's one word that comes to mind when I think of Ian and that's gentle. So gentle with his words, mannerisms, questions and advice.
After a friend suggested him to me, Ian helped me through a particularly difficult period of post-partum depression and health anxiety. He gave me perspective, listened to the things I was thinking and didn't make me feel anything but heard. The warmth and space he provided made it easier to talk. I'm so grateful to him (and the friend who suggested him!) it's no wonder Ian receives so many word of mouth recommendations".

HEALTHCARE INSURANCE?
Here's one of the reasons you pay for healthcare insurance....

Your policy with AVIVA and Vitality will probably cover your counselling sessions with me.
If Psychotherapy is covered in your policy, your healthcare insurance provider will pay for your counselling. Usually you will only need to pay a nominal amount to them to get started.
I'm a registered practitioner with AVIVA and Vitality/Vitality Health so it's worth thinking about getting in touch and letting your insurance company pay for your sessions.

"I have found Ian to be very warm and approachable, which has allowed me to open up during our sessions. I initially sought his support for some relationship challenges I was experiencing, and once I worked through those and made progress, I felt comfortable enough to begin sharing childhood traumas that had negatively impacted my life for a long time. Having shared these experiences, Ian has provided me with helpful strategies that have given me a sense of freedom and the ability to feel as though I can finally move on from my past. Talking through my challenges with him has also helped me develop practical ways of managing everyday life, with a particular focus on setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, which has been especially valuable in preventing me from spiralling into negative thought patterns. I cannot recommend Ian highly enough and would definitely encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out and benefit from his support."

Dave G wrote, "I am deeply grateful for the time I've spent with Ian. He has listened with patience and compassion as I shared my darkest struggles, and he helped me view them from a completely new perspective. His approach strikes the perfect balance - kind and supportive, yet also direct and honest, which was exactly what I needed.
Ian has given me invaluable advice on facing my inner demons, particularly in overcoming addiction. The breathing techniques he taught me have become part of my daily routine and a powerful tool in my recovery. Thanks to his guidance, I've been able to confront difficult times head-on and continue moving forward on my spiritual journey.
I'm now almost five months clean from my drug of choice, and my quality of life has improved beyond what I thought possible. Ian's support, wisdom, and genuine interest in my growth have been a crucial part of that transformation. I cannot recommend him highly enough, especially to anyone who may be in a dark place as I once was."
