Today (Sunday 1 November) is Learning Disability Nurses Day.

A day to recognise, celebrate and thank learning disability nurses across Wales for the incredible work they do.

On average, people with a learning disability in Wales live 20 years less than people without. This shows not only the health inequalities being faced, but the importance of training, hiring and supporting learning disability nurses in their roles.

The Royal College of Nursing created a report with important recommendations for Welsh Government to make sure there are enough skilled health professionals to support people in Wales with a learning disability.

We've made an Easy Read video with highlights of our work over the past year.

Saturday 5 December at The Canopi Cardiff. 6pm-11pm.

The wonderful Connor at Under Construction has worked with Richie to put together a STACKED line-up, which we'll be announcing SOON.

Today 18 October is World Menopause Day. A few years ago, our Easy Read Wales team produced a series of Easy Read leaflets called "Keeping health in perimenopause and menopause" in partnership with The Menopause Charity and FTWW Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales.

The 4 free Easy Read booklets, available in English and Welsh, cover:

1. What is menopause and perimenopause
2. Symptoms of perimenopause and menopause
3. What you can do to feel better during perimenopause and menopause
4. Talking to your doctor about perimenopause and menopause.
