🌍 World Environment Day 🌍

At Cyncoed Pharmacy, we’re committed to finding ways to reduce waste and make our services more environmentally friendly.

One of the easiest ways patients can help is by using the NHS App to manage their prescriptions. Through the app, you can:

✅ Order repeat prescriptions
✅ Track the progress of your prescription request
✅ View your repeat medication list
✅ Manage your prescriptions anytime, anywhere

You can also help reduce paper use by nominating a pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically. If you haven’t already nominated a pharmacy, our team can help you set this up.

Electronic prescribing helps reduce paper waste and cuts down on unnecessary journeys between GP surgeries and pharmacies.

As more prescriptions are now sent electronically, we will gradually be reducing our collections of paper prescriptions from GP surgeries. This change supports a more efficient, sustainable service while ensuring patients continue to receive their medication as normal.

By choosing digital services where possible, you’re helping to:

🌱 Reduce paper waste
🚗 Reduce unnecessary travel
📱 Access your prescriptions more conveniently
♻️ Support a greener NHS

Small changes can make a big difference. This World Environment Day, why not download the NHS App to manage your prescriptions more conveniently?

If you’d like to learn more about the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) and find out whether your GP surgery is EPS-enabled, visit our website for more information.

Discover what the Electronic Prescription Service means for your prescriptions. Launching soon at Cyncoed Pharmacy.
