Holistic 1-1 treatment/service needed this Saturday at Cummersdale 2-6pm

Hi everyone, a lady who is running a wellbeing event this Saturday is looking for a person to have a stall/table space offering something 1-1 / small group - ideas we had in mind are:

Tarot Card reading
Hand or foot massage
Meditation or hypnotherapy
Henna art on hands

or something similar

Get in touch with me if you're interesting in attending - it's an event to raise money for dementia. I will pass your details onto the lady running this event.

Thank you in advance ๐Ÿ˜

Every hiking group has one person who physically cannot just walk ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Towards the end of every hike, I stop being a functioning adult and my brain starts creating its own entertainment.

First the singing. Then the film impressions. Then the animal noises. Before long, every stick has become a wizardโ€™s staff or some form of medieval weapon ๐Ÿ˜†

Please tell me Iโ€™m not the only one. Is it tiredness, boredomโ€ฆ or does hour nine of a hike simply unlock your inner eight-year-old?

Send this to the least serious person in your hiking group ๐Ÿ˜‚

Had a wonderful 1-1 treatment with Roots by Jade at her Zen Den before she moves her treatments over to Riverside Fitness in Crown Hotel Wetheral

I had a beautiful massage, reiki, sound healing and cupping which was the best cupping treatment I've ever had. I've had a muscular injury in my shoulder for months that I couldn't budge (it's hard to rest when your job is active) and it's gone!!

She also has that genuine love for her clients. She's passionate in what she does and means it from the heart.

I can't wait to see your new treatment room when it's ready!

I had a strange encounter this evening ๐Ÿฆ‰

I was speaking about God to two of my students tonight after class as we discussed the power of forgiveness, protecting ourselves from bad energy (people who try to bring you down) and to let go of their negative energy. It's important to handle negative people with kindness, even when it's hard to do. Don't forgive their actions, but forgive their soul because they are on a path and they too, must learn. By showing kindness back, you keep yourself protected and will feel better afterwards. Show anger, you become anger, and anger turns into hate which manifests into a negative outcome, always. Hate never has a happy ending, so don't hate. Instead, let go. But be strong and true to yourself. It's not a weakness, it's a strength to show people that no matter what, you will never go to their level of hostile energy. You keep shining your true personality regardless โ˜€๏ธ

Minutes later after this conversation as I drove home, this owl was standing in the road just staring at me. I didn't manage to film it straight away because I was surprised at this random encounter. It wasn't eating anything off the road, it was just standing there. I probably stared at this bird for a good 30 seconds as it stared back and eventually flew to the tree.

I know, sceptics will say it's a coincident. But I felt a sense of calm and happiness within myself, like I didn't feel any fear, anxiety, stress, worry - it was like a pause that took me away to a moment of peace.

I did some researching, but please correct me those who have their own spiritual interpretations of owl encounters like this, but this is what I found:

A "Peace That Passes Understanding"

In Christian theology, the Holy Spirit is frequently associated with an unexplainable, sudden sense of deep peace amidst a busy or unpredictable world (such as a driving route). Feeling entirely calm while staring at a wild predator on a road mirrors the biblical promise of God's comforting presence keeping watch over your journey.

The Unveiling of the Hidden

Because tawny owls are masters of blending into the shadows during daylight hours, a tawny owl stepping out into the bright open road serves as a powerful metaphor for illumination. Spiritually, this represents God bringing something hidden into the light, giving you sudden clarity, or granting you a fresh, grounded perspective on a situation where you previously felt in the dark.

A Sacred Interruption to the Routine

Roads represent our daily momentum, routines, and where we are heading. A rare creature physically blocking your path to simply look at you acts as a divine pause button. Because the encounter brought you stillness rather than fear, it can be viewed as a reassurance that you are safe, protected, and exactly where you need to be in God's timing.

Either way, this is a beautiful animal and I am so happy I witnessed it ๐Ÿฆ‰๐Ÿ˜

So I was speaking to someone about how getting active outdoors in nature could be your new mood booster and a way to reduce anxiety. If you're someone who suffers with your mental health, overthink, worry a lot, stressed, work too much, or perhaps you're just feeling angry/frustrated, I am TELLING YOU - you have to get outside into the fresh air, anywhere where there's nature.

A forest, park, lake, mountains, fell, beach, sea... you need to go back to what's natural for your nervous system.

We are animals, and like all the other animals, we need to feel free and connected to nature. It's only natural that it boosts our mood and reduces stress. This is where we belong deep down ๐Ÿชพ

Listen to birds, flowing water, ocean waves, bees, rustling leaves - see the sun, the clouds, feel the wind, smell the grass - this is medicine.

The hardest bit is getting up and getting outside, but once you've commited, you will be so proud of yourself and happy you got out.

Whilst we have these long days, you can even fit in a short walk in the evening after work, or early before work if your shifts make it difficult for that "me-time".

Schedule and find time for yourself.

At the moment on our days off together, we are trying to bag all the Wainwright's and are about half way now! Taking a while but it's the journey, not the speed. We also love random and silly couple selfies ๐Ÿ˜† so enjoy!

I've been working through the chakras this year and we have the last three remaining - all at Currock Community Centre but all very different to one-another.

If you're new, you have an incredible selection to choose from, perhaps try all three if you're feeling the energy connection ๐Ÿ’ซ for the regulars, these will complete your chakra journey as I'm always getting new instruments, curating different soundscape journeys and changing the dynamics of each session.

I love to indulge in a filling dessert but sometimes, need to feel like I'm eating something that will actually fill me up but also benefit me. I've been a little bit obsessed with the protein pudding pots in Lidl GB lately and they have these Quark bars that are SOOOO GOOD. Paired with some fresh raspberries, it's absolutely delicious!

27g of protein in this dessert ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Hitting those protein goals is extremely important for recovery, energy, improved muscle building, improves bone health, supports healthy aging and regulated blood sugar.

๐Ÿง  Did you also know!.....

Protein helps Make Brain Chemicals

Protein is broken down into amino acids, which your brain uses to make neurotransmitters (chemical messengers), including:

Dopamine โ€“ involved in motivation, focus, and reward.

Serotonin โ€“ helps regulate mood, sleep, and emotional wellbeing.

Noradrenaline โ€“ supports alertness and concentration.

GABA โ€“ helps calm the nervous system.

Without enough protein, your body has fewer of the building blocks needed to produce these chemicals.

How amazing is that?

For other meal ideas, I eat a lot of eggs, milk, fish, meats, beans, pulses and nuts. You can make your diet high in protein whatever your dietary preference. It's about being mindful of what you eat without over-obsessing with numbers. Quality over quantity. I'm all about eating lots, but eatings lots of good stuff.

I also have a lot of fruit in my diet and veg. I love my veg ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜‚

Enjoy the football everyone โšฝ
