iCan wellbeing Group is a CIO dedicated to supporting healthier lifestyles in Cumbria. We operate an accessible fitness and wellness centre which caters to people who wouldn't normally attend a "gym" our wellness sessions. Sessions are open to all and we have female only, male only and mixed sessions to make everyone feel safe. Many sessions are free so please enquire with our team today to get st

arted. iCan wellbeing group also offer outreach health and wellness activities across Cumbria including focussed work in Mid Copeland through our school and community programmes and our Wheels of Wellness. iCan is a trusted provider for the NHS working on the waiting well programme for North Cumbria and many other projects.

On our BIG TRIPS we love to walk and be outside with nature. Keswick is just the perfect place isn't it? We walked from town to Friars crag and enjoyed some time looking at the view of Derwent water, then we wandered on a bit further along "the beach" before lunch and heading back to town for a cheeky ice cream or a cuppa.
Did the rain bother us- NO
Did the sun come out in the end- YES
Did we have the best time ever- ABSOLUTELY

We had a great time at the The Cumberland Show yesterday as part of our Young Farmers work. Many thanks to &H hosting us at their stall.
Check out young agricultural students from a local school using our ikigai materials to help think about GCSE options choices.

On our BIG TRIP 2026 we also gave the escape rooms a go. Many of our members had never tried this and some hadn't heard of this challenge before. This was themed like a mountain rescue and it was so fun- with different codes and puzzles to unlock to find the next clue! Both teams did manage to escape- with a little gentle competition thrown in! Well done all

We have a great opportunity for a Research Associate to join us and be responsible for delivering a research engagement programme across North Cumbria working in partnership with CNTW NHS Trust.
You will be responsible for identifying internal research/ evaluation projects, external research partners and to identify funding opportunities to support projects. The post holder will provide research training, research awareness campaigns, data management and research administrative support, as needed for all projects and activities undertaken.
