🚧 Building Works and Accessible Parking β™Ώ

You may have noticed ongoing building and maintenance work at both hospital sites. At times, this may affect parking bays, including accessible spaces.

There are many alternative accessible parking spaces around our sites, which are marked on our maps: https://www.gloshospitals.nhs.uk/maps

If a designated accessible space is not available, blue badge holders attending an appointment or visiting a patient can park in any available bay for the duration of their visit, as long as a valid disabled parking permit is displayed. The permit holder must be the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.

πŸ‘‰ Please remember that double yellow lines must not be used, and 20-minute drop-off bays should be respected and used within the time limit.

Thank you for your understanding while we carry out these essential works.

31 May is World No To***co Day – a chance to highlight the very real impact of smoking and the support available to help people quit.

πŸ—“οΈ If you’d like support to stop smoking, Healthy Lifestyles Gloucestershire will be at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Friday 29 May πŸ•™10am–3pm.

Almost 60% of to***co users say they want to stop. If that’s you, help is available.
Quitting brings benefits sooner than many people realise:
β€’ after 20 minutes, your heart rate starts to drop
β€’ within 2–12 weeks, lung function improves
β€’ after 1 year, your risk of heart disease is around half that of a smoker

Find out more: https://hlsglos.org/

You can also download the NHS Quit Smoking app, which offers personalised support, daily motivation, and helps you track progress and savings. Reaching 28 days smoke-free makes you much more likely to quit for good.

We’re proud to support the launch of the Sangeet Memory Box πŸŽΆπŸ’œ

Created with Mindsong and local Hindu communities in Gloucester and Cheltenham, this playlist supports people living with dementia through devotional music and familiar Indian cinema soundtracks 🌼🎡

These meaningful sounds can help spark memories, provide comfort and strengthen connections to faith, culture and identity.

In this video, hear from some of the people who helped make the playlist happen and why it matters so much πŸ‘‡

We support the Kit Tarka Foundation THANKS campaign to highlight the importance of good hygiene around young babies πŸ‘Ά

Newborns have immature immune systems and are especially vulnerable to infections like the cold sore virus (HSV). While it’s often mild in adults, it can be life-threatening for babies.

If you’re visiting a new baby, please remember your T-H-A-N-K-S:
βœ‹ Think Hands And No Kisses 😘🚫

A small action can make a big difference πŸ’™
