For the past eight years, Sarah has held national leadership roles focused on business development, strategic partnerships and sustainable growth, working closely with commissioners, operational teams and stakeholders to develop high-quality, person-centred services.

Passionate about building strong relationships, developing teams and creating services that make a real difference, Sarah joins us at an exciting time as Alcedo Care continues to grow across England and Wales.

This World Cerebral Palsy Day, we’d like you to meet George.

George has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy and severe learning difficulties, but as his mum Jenny says, he’s also incredibly happy, laughs a lot and absolutely loves life.

From getting out in the fresh air and enjoying sensory time to simply having a laugh with his care team, knowing George as a person is such an important part of providing the right support.

Thank you to Jenny and George for allowing us to share a little of their story.

Knowing the signs of meningitis could save a life.

This World Meningitis Day, we’re helping raise awareness of the symptoms to look out for and the importance of acting quickly if you’re concerned.

In specialist complex care, recognising when something has changed in a person’s health and knowing when to seek help is incredibly important.

Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the signs and help us spread awareness.

A day out with a difference.

One of our carers recently took their client out for an adventure through the mountains and countryside, getting some fresh air, exploring and enjoying the day together.

Supporting someone’s independence can mean helping them get out, experience new places and continue doing the things they enjoy.

It’s moments like these that show what care at Alcedo is really about.

Celebrating 5 years of John Townley at Alcedo Care! 🩵🧡

Today we’re celebrating a brilliant milestone as John marks 5 years with Alcedo Care.

Over those five years, John has grown and developed alongside the business, becoming a valued part of the team and playing an important role in everything we continue to achieve.

“Can’t believe I’ve been at Alcedo Care for 5 years! It’s great to be part of a family business where everyone matters and that continues to grow. Alcedo Care has given me the opportunity to grow and develop, and the role I have now is my dream job!”

A huge thank you to John for everything he has brought to Alcedo Care over the last five years. Here’s to many more!

October is ADHD Awareness Month.

ADHD can affect people in many different ways, from attention and organisation to impulsivity and emotional regulation. No two people experience it in exactly the same way.

For us, it’s about understanding the individual, recognising their strengths and making sure the right support is built around them.
